What is the largest shallow chrome socket out there?

Maybe McMaster-Carr. A couple of reasonably priced US options. If you go with impact-rated you can get even bigger.

    Pry Bars Decision

I know these bars don't have handles, but I'm digging this Proto pry bar set I just picked up. Four pieces, made in the USA.

One of the few perks of living overseas is the occasional price advantages. The Proto heavy steel (prybar, chisels) is priced good, the chrome sockets, wrenches, and ratchets...not so much.

Picked up the Proto J2100 four piece pry bar set. $62 out the door for a USA made set.

The Klein Tool addiction thread! :)

Nothing like having supreme self confidence only to realize you don't actually have the right tool for the job... Needed to troubleshoot some hobby electronics when I came across some frickin' Robertson head machine screws. Thought for sure I'd have something and finally found a random hex bit...

    Tools from the old world

Up next, a selection of other Cobra and Alligators, as well as the Twin-Grips. Actually used the Siphon & Connector pliers (w/o the plastic jaws) to open my wife's nail polish, so at least that's something 😂😆🤣

    Tools from the old world

Couldn't stay well enough away! Didn't need it but I couldn't bear the thought of not having it... 22" Knipex Cobra - this thing is huge! Don't have a use for it yet, but as they say (or at least as 'I' say), "if you buy it, you will use it!" 😆😆😆

So I did something... Did I need to do it? No. Did I want to do it? Yes. Plus, there's little chance of it getting cheaper... At least that's what I told myself. Presenting the Knipex 87-01-560. Man, this thing is huge! Barely fits in my 24" wide box! Even closed it fits smaller Cobras in its...

    Tools of Japan

Came across my Vessel Impact Driver model 2400. Love that it has a case with it and was disappointed to see that the current ones don't seem to include one.

"Whats your favorite tool and why?"

For me, it definitely has to be Vessel screwdrivers. Introduced to them over 5 years ago. Needed JIS since I was restoring a 1984 Toyota FJ40. Fantastic screwdrivers, and especially love their impact driver. The 2400 came with a nice case; I'm guessing it was discontinued so they could save...

    Tools from the old world

Just wanted to say thanks to this group for introducing me to Knipex. I fell way down the rabbit home! Cobras from 100mm to 400mm. Doubled up on a few sizes in order to have spares - certainly don't "need" every size, but they sure are purdy to look at! Fantastic quality to boot, and you can...

Long-time lurker, first time poster. I fully blame this community for introducing me to Knipex! Fell deep down the rabbit hole. I live in the middle east, and fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) the Knipex dealers here generally price their product lower than what I...
