    Water in breaker box

Yes, I believe that conduit in picture 3 is from the meter and that is where the water was coming from. We had that hard driving rain yesterday so I'm hoping that is what caused it and its not a broken conduit. So at this point, do i just monitor for more water? How can I seal that box better?

    Water in breaker box

Yes, the main circuit from the meter box comes in via that conduit in picture 3. And that is where the water was coming in. I'm sure of it.

    Water in breaker box

Hi guys. Thanks in advance for help here. I got quite a scare tonight. My wife noticed some water on the floor in the basement. After some digging I narrowed it down to water coming from inside the conduit in the breaker panel. The breaker box is on the west side of the house in the...

    AC capacitor?

I found this meter Fieldpiece SC260. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KLYJG78/?tag=atomicindus08-20 Any reason not to get this one. The SC440 was just a bit more than I wanted to spend.

    AC capacitor?

OKay. I think I figured it out and this is of course a newbie mistake. The new capacitor came with a yellow mark on one connector. I let my caveman brain that likes colors take over instead of looking at the number of fittings on each connector. I've never worked with capacitors before so I...

    AC capacitor?

I have a basic DMM but now is probably the time to invest in a meter that tests capacitance and amp draw. Anyone you guys recommend?

    AC capacitor?

    AC capacitor?

Hello guys. Question about my AC unit. A couple weeks ago, condenser would kick on but not the fan. Fan would spin after manual start. I took off the cover and the capacitor was a rusty piece of junk. Replaced it. Today I turned unit on and it worked for about 5 seconds and shut off...

    110 Outlets not working

    110 Outlets not working

Okay well let me start off by saying that I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I know many guys on here will say that I'm a newbie and I just had it wired incorrectly but that is not the case. I triple checked it EVERY time. So here's what...

    110 Outlets not working

Seriously? Why wouldn't it work in another completely different circuit that work? that makes zero sense. I will get a new GFCI and have them test it at the hardware.

    110 Outlets not working

Yes, I checked this about 50 times I think you misread what I posted. I hooked the GFCI to a good outlet and it didn't work. The GFCI is bad. Either it was bad when I bought it or I junkified it by messing with it. IDK.

    110 Outlets not working

So all this data I thought I was accumulating could potentially be junk. I took the GFCI downstairs to an outlet attached to a 15 amp breaker. I tested the outlet and it works. A device plugged in worked and the voltage was good. I disconnected the wires, tested which were the lines and...
