My studs are 16" OC, no problems hanging anything.
I haven't seen many people on this forum build their own garage, regardless of type.
More expensive to finish but the initial cost is a lot less. All balances out.

Slab was a 1/2 basketball court built by the previous owner. And not square :( but I've taken care of any water leakage issues.
24 gauge, 12 gauge tubes, 140 wind proof and 10 year warranty.

For me, in north Florida, it was cheaper to have a metal building thrown together and for me to stud the interior and put walls up. Your mileage may vary.

I've got a 30x30 metal building. Love it. About to put a 10x30 loft in it. Putting walls up right now and I have no complaints.

Interesting problem. I had a 30x30 just like yours, built on top of a basketball court the previous owner had poured. It isn't square and that became really apparent when they came up and built the building. Had to decide which to be flush with, front of the pad or side. Obviously, I went with...
Thanks for the reply! I was thinking since this is only a $1 more then standard OSB, it couldn't hurt. Since I'm only going 8ft up on a 12ft wall, I'll probably still have insulation blown in after all is said and done. I'm glad my thinking was totally off, though!
So I've got my 30x30 metal man cave up and am currently putting up studs, horizontally 16" OC, between my 5 foot spaced frames of the building (see my thread here).
I was thinking about use the Techshield OSB board as a way to help deflect heat. Instead of installing the OSB board with the foil...
Right...basically, I believe I'm going to have to put a 2x4 framing with studs so that when I put up a wall, it's solid and I can lean on it without worrying. I've already hung the electric, they're inside. :)
So...I'm trying to figure out how to do the framing so that I can put walls up. Without building a complete wood frame inside of the walls, what's the best way to go about this?
