My workbenches will be against the east wall, so I think I'm going to put two windows on that side and one on the west side (though I agree with you about the heat) but that west side also gives me a view of my back porch of the house, in case I need to keep an eye on the four legged creatures...

It will be. I will be slowly putting the interior together. Right now, I'm leaning toward the Reflectix insulation, some dry wall, some slat-board and then we'll see. These poor guys are working right now and it's a DOWNPOUR outside.

Good questions: 1) the shop will be insulated tho I haven't decided on what type of interior wall to use yet and if I wanted to use it all the way around (or high high) 2) I will keep the wood dust to a minimum with vacuum and ventilation 3) most years the Gators will keep the Semi's away;)...

Nice post. I'm about to build a 30x30 on top of an old half-basketball court and I need to get rid of the paint and prep, so I'm thinking about going to HD to rent the Diamabrush with the grinder. Did you do it wet or with a vacuum?
