Poor Man's Retro Retreat -- in 440 square feet

I keep coming back to this thread for inspiration. Thanks again for sharing with us. On another note, my father is up near Napa and got his feet wet with a 914. I think he wanted to try it on for size before getting into the more complex German builds.

My first 2 car working garage 23x21

Today I stood in the center and took pics for a 360 view to help give me a better idea of what I can do. I haven't made any changes yet as I'm trying to decide on a number of things. Namely, I have a $50 credit toward Gladiator garage storage and 50% off retail prices. I could spend $1000 and...

    garage art question??

Have them scanned for future reproduction and laminated for durability. Shouldn't cost much, especially considering the value should you decide to shop them around.

    17x27 2 Car Garage

I think you've made great use of the space. Everything is tucked up against a wall and gone vertical. I wonder how low the compressor is inside the house considering it looks to be against an interior wall.

    Garage door remotes help?

It (the keypad) was already installed with the house and has a matching brainbox attached to the opener housing. I even found the manual for the keypad/brainbox and the opener (the PO was kind enough to keep these things). We were told nobody knew the code (foreclosure) and so when I went to...

I bought a house 3 months ago with no remote and a wireless keypad that didn't work. Still opening the darn thing from inside with the button.

My girlfriends Nissan Xterra has that exact thing. But you have to do it level or it'll miss the whole thing. Learned that the hard way!

30x30 2 story garage and connector

Wow that really looks good. I have a question which anybody can answer. Where does one get funds for such a transformation? I've just bought my first house and I can't imagine coming up with another $100k for a big add-on like this.

You tell Me Who's to Blame

I'd say if you're not out any money AND you sold the house - in this market, no less - just take it as a learning experience and move on. Next time you'll know to have someone on your side of the bargaining table present during inspection. Congrats and hope the new place is what you wanted.

My first 2 car working garage 23x21

Wow, thanks Bob those are some mighty fine examples. Great tip on the door packs, I hadn't thought of that. I can't tell in the pics - how do you have the shelving boards fastened? I do have an A/C vent coming straight off the air handler. I'm told this is highly against code as it provides...

Stop the peak - garage door windows

Here's the windows so you can 'see' what I'm talking about. It's actually the top panel, and I can still tip-toe to see through them. I'm liking the gila films stuff. I don't want any dangly bits or fabrics that can catch dust/debris or would otherwise get in the way of hurricane...
