Never made it to Malaysia, Taiwan, or NZ, but did spend a fair amount of time in Australia for work. Also visited Guam and the Philippines. Beijing in 2014 was probably our favorite trip; the Great Wall was fantastic. We hired a tour guide for a week, so we didn't have any issues getting...

Found a deal on craigslist? - List Here!

Doesn't look bad to me! But 2,131 miles from me at $6.00 per loaded mile is $12,786.00, so maybe I'll try to find one closer...

I did 2 years in Korea. We traveled all over Korea, also went to Beijing, Hong Kong, Bali, Japan, etc. I also spent some time in Singapore and Japan for work. Happy to provide insights as well.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Boresighted both Remington 700's, verified trigger pull weight, performed functions check, installed the Tupperware stock on the cheap one.

Are you going to use an off-the-shelf unit? Or are you going to pick something up that you can wire in? Natural gas, gasoline, or diesel? I've been thinking about doing the same thing, but our power grid has been fairly reliable for the past few years.

86 - what's planned for the weekend? Turning any wrenches? I need to live vicariously through you; work has been crushing me lately, so I don't think I will be able to spend any time in the garage.

1972 Alfa Romeo GT Junior Restoration

Car sold for $102k this time around. There was a bidding war between the last 2 bidders that started at $78k and went to $102k. After buyer's fee and transportation to California then transportation to the consignor and payment of his fees and commissions, the guy who bought it from me for...

Well, the car is back on BAT. The buyer didn't seem like a flipper and he reached out to me to let me know that he had intended to keep it, but it is what it is. Re-selling something this quickly rarely seems to work out, but I hope he gets top dollar for it. He has one of the top BAT sellers...

Hello, long time reader, all about me, what do we have in common?

Guns, Mopars, LS engines, motorcycles, dogs, etc? You've come to the right place. Speaking of Mopars, I loves me some B-bodies and E-bodies! Here's my old hemi RR. It was originally a 383 car, but that was yanked in favor of a pump gas roller cammed dual quad 426. Sold it in 2010 or so...

Rained yesterday and today; not enough to bring us out of a drought, but I won't have to water the grass this week.

Beginner perspective on buying ratchets and sockets

Is HF Icon really that good? I've seen them and was surprised that HF was selling stuff at that price point.

Beginner perspective on buying ratchets and sockets

If you wrench for a living, get the SnapOn. Otherwise, the second tier stuff will work mighty fine. I have a fair bit of Craftsman stuff, but I really don't like their ratchets; the coarse tooth design handles more torque, but I hate how they feel. Harbor Freight can be hit or miss, but I...

It's rained twice here in the past 4 months or so. It's in the forecast for the next several days, but nothing yet. Still in serious drought conditions.

    DIY/Wood Car Stands(Cribbing)...Let's see them!

What I find amusing - I have 60+ videos on my YouTube channel - rebuilding engines, transmissions, rescuing vintage bulldozers, etc. But the video of me sawing up 2x4's and screwing them together is by far my most popular, closing in on 400k views.
