Cluster gear is together. That was fairly simple and didn't require a press. Input and counter gear are loaded with needle bearings - 25 on each side for the cluster gear and 15 for the input. Seal is installed in bearing retainer. O-rings installed on shift arms.

Synchros and gears are actually nice. I’m replacing the synchros but I think it would have been fine if I reused the original ones.

I tried a pick with magnets placed on the shank, but it was too weak to pull up the detent.

I was disassembling a transmission today and had to fish out a few detents out of small holes in the trans and the smallest magnet pickup tool I have was too big (.37" in diameter) so I ended up using the shop vac to **** the detent out. I see some stuff on Amazon that's .25" in diameter, but...
