Building a shop in city limits

People want to avoid the inspector or compliance officers like the plaque. But I've found these people will offer very sound advise and information that will keep you from making a very expensive mistake. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

Vice Grip Cee-Clamps Made in China?

Got all mine a long time ago. That's not half of them! When gluing panels on trucks you need a boat load. From 7r to 24r and even 6 18 deep clamps. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

    Where do you store gasoline/propane?

I keep two 55 gallons barrels of gas in my metal pole building. They are stabilized and I rotate each every other year. I use last year's barrel this year in the mowers. And this years fresh gas gets stored for power outages. Never had an issue. Plus I have a 500 gallon tank for emergency heat...

What does this go to? (Woodworking?)

Back end of a miter guage. With a stop bar for repeatable cuts but it's missing the miter slot bar and the stop block. Something like this. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

Regular PEX for compressed air lines

Those rings are tough! I've never had a failure. On brass fittings with crimp rings. My problem was I couldn't get my crimp tool into alot of tight places. I use the cinch clamps for those applications. Good stuff. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

New air compressor, couple setup questions...

Mine has a small radiator type cooler on the compressor outlet and is maybe 10' from my compressor and it gets every bit of water. My compressor is a 2 cylinder vs 2 stage. 2 cylinders provide more cfm at a lower psi. 2 stage provides more psi at the cost of cfm. I have a 7hp 60 gallon...

New air compressor, couple setup questions...

I use a Sharpe f88 separator. I have a body shop and run every tool mentioned above. You just need to make sure you have it far enough away from the compressor to allow the air time to cool so it can remove the water condensate. I have had this separator for 15 years with no issues. Also you say...

    Cordless drill...battery question

I bought a ryobi hammer drill with a "bad" 18 volt battery. Would not charge in my 6 port fast charger. Bought it for the drill anyways. Put it in the one port regular charger and next morning, charged! Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk

    Oscillating Multi Tool

I use mine replacing glued in parts for semi truck hoods. To remove parts without damage to others you need to remove it in sections with heat to soften the glue. Only way is with oscillating tool because it will plunge cut one piece and not go through the good piece. Wore out a Dremel tool. Now...

How should I straighten this chair leg?

Tubing is a weird thing. Sometimes it will straighten and sometimes snap. You need to brace against it somewhere not to cause any damage to the other legs and pull the bottom of the bent one. My opinion only. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
