I haven't seen a generator transfer switch explicitly mentioned. Since you would move loads over to it, it would function as a subpanel.

Unless you care exactly how much force your hand hits the adjoining objects with when the tool breaks. That might be important to some people :rolleyes:. PS - I'm agreeing with you....
