Got my Milwaukee 18v Fuel 3/8 drive impact today, my review

To be fair, the SO does have a **** load of power, when it was brand new it had a slight power edge over my bosses fuel. I think the difference is that the SO is still a brushed motor and we have a oily environment. I think the brushes loose a bit a contact fairly soon due to oil ,making it...

    Chain saw First time buyer

Sounds like your stuck with a Husky, don't know if that is good or bad but I am a Stihl guy myself. I have an 18 inch and it is a good all around size but for just trimming I also would think i would get a 14 inch or so. The 18 gets kinda heavy after awhile for me. Never seen an olive tree...

Got my Milwaukee 18v Fuel 3/8 drive impact today, my review

To start off, my 1 1/2 yr old 20v Dewalt 3/8 impact is not even in the same class as the Milwaukee, no where even close to the power the Fuel has. This is more between the new Snap on 18 volt impact and the Fuel. Test #1 The test between a 3 month old S/O with a fully charged 4 amp battery and...

Dewalt 3/8 impact died, Hello Milwaukee

Awhile back I was wondering when Dewalt was going to come out with a brushless 3/8 impact. I had/have a 20 volt brushed one but disappointed with its power shortly after I bought it and swore I wouldn't buy another till they had a brushless version. Well, the anvil hammer broke on my Dewalt...

    Cold Weather Compressor Maintenance

I have the same situation as you, not quite as cold and I do use mine more often. First I made sure there was zero air leaks so it never has to start running from lost air. As for the drain on the bottom, if it is froze, it's not coming through my lines so I'm happy, and I drain the compreser in...

    Do not buy...

Dewalt 20 volt corded/cordless shop vac. Thought it would be the best thing ever, and it would have been if they would have put a little more engineering into the suction part of the vacuum. Everything else about it was great, just no power, they shot themselves in the foot on this one.

    Craftsman screwdrivers/phillips?

If you want a great set of screwdrivers find a set of Witte screwdrivers. Usually 60 bucks will buy a set and will be the last set of screwdrivers you'll ever need to buy. I know Matco in Cornwall use them for their screwdrivers but you can find them on ebay pretty cheap. Made in Germany.

    Cheap tool realization ...

this reminds me of my first great tool purchase , I had to swap the motors in my 1971 Camaro so I went to true value and bought a wrench set, sockets and srewdrivers. Still am using some of the Master Mechanic wrenches and sockets today 20 something years later. I still like the feel of the old...

I now hate every wrench I own

I am always reading about the Wright wrenches on here but never had the chance to hold one in person till today. I have to say wow, I honestly think they are the nicest feeling wrenches I have ever used, I would love some but I have too many wrenches already, unless someone would like to make...
