    steel celing help

Using the supplied grommet screws, the panels hung very well. And when you place a screw on next to the rib on the overlap piece it brings up both pieces tight.

    steel celing help

Hmmm, not sure about square, mine is quite close. My point is that when I overlap the panels the profiles are close but just not perfect and I checked this on the ground as well putting two panels together. I should take a picture of this to show what I am trying to describe. Foamer

    steel celing help

I had the same thoughts regarding my install. One thing to remember is the edge with more of a lip goes down and the edge with no lip or less of a lip goes on top or overlaps. However my ends when you look at the profile still don't match the way I think they should. I have gotten all the way...

    Garage Doors/Interior Wall?? Please help

Actually I am more concerned with the wall where the garage door and spring are bolted to. They are bolted directly to the studs and header, typical installation. Now I want to finish that wall, is my only option to unbolt the doors and track and move them out the thickness of the wall board? I...

    Garage Doors/Interior Wall?? Please help

I will preface this question with I typically over think things and sometimes a bit OCD. I am currently installing steel liner panels on my ceiling. I am to the garage door track. This looks easy enough, just drop the track a little slide the panel in and re-install. The problem I am seeing at...

    Code Enforcement Question

I guess cost and additional tax is my main concern as well as the government looking over my shoulder. A simple electrical permit cost me $350.00 on this project. I am sick and tired of more taxes, however I will not go down that road. And then to see these guys driving around drumming up business.

So here is my hypothetical; I install a garage heater and vent it outside of course...

Cutting Steel Ceiling Liner For outlets

Sometimes I tend to OVER-THINK projects, however with the cost of materials and time spent I like to do both efficiently. I have (7) overhead electrical outlets, and I need to cut openings in the ceiling liner that has ribs on 9" centers. What would make a nice smooth neat cut that would be easy...

    Wall Thimble Hot Dawg Questions

Hi, I have been a lurker and now a poster. I am installing a Hot Dawg heater. I am venting through the wall horizontally. This will be quite a short run. 1' out from back, 90 turn to wall about 29", 1/4" pitch drop, through thimble and out maybe 18" with rain/wind cap on the end. This is a 6"...
