    8500w door remote problem

I have 2 door openers a LJ8900 and a 8500W. When I installed the 8900 I borrowed the remote from the 8500 since that door was seldom used. Fast forward and I am using the 8500 door more frequently now and want to use the opener again. I got a generic 893max and have it connected to the 8900 and...

Chinese Two Post Lifts, possible purchase

What happens when the switch fails and stays open? My electrical box is 35' away and I don't always have my phone in my hand while lifting a vehicle.

Chinese Two Post Lifts, possible purchase

Good idea to wire in a kill switch close by. Switches can fail at the most inopportune time. If your fuse box is 5' away then a kill switch isn't really necessary.

    Rate rolling tool chest

The Yukon and Kobalt aren't on the same level as the US General. I don't know about the Craftsman. The metal is thinner, drawer weight capacity is lower, and the drawers feel loose with nothing in them. I looked into the $300-350 boxes for the woodworking tools but even for a seldom used box...

Got a DCF680 gyro screwdriver used this weekend. I always wanted to try one out and the great deal was hard to pass up. Anybody know of a way to get permanent marker off Dewalt yellow plastic?

New 2 Post 8 Arm Lift

Very nifty. No use myself but I can see where it would have It's purpose. Going to be spendy for sure. Edited: The one price I found and it's only $30K. Almost as much as the vehicle you're lifting.

I got a set of E-torx sockets for the generator carb and of course they show up after I get it back together. A 4mm 6 point is a great stand in for a E-4 torx. I also got a 55 piece nut and bolt thread checker. I have one of the cable versions and every once in a while trying to use it in an...

Thoughts on the various lift manufacturers ... specifically 2 post

Forward I10 installed in July 2021. Only thing I had to do so far was adjust the lock release on the other pillar. The other side would hang and the vehicle would still lower on the near side. Quick search and a few minutes had it working correctly. Mine was installed.

Go get a boroscope camera if you don't already have one

I used my Depstech https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0928Q3T42?tag=atomicindus08-20 on a bathroom sink with a very slow drain. Turns out water doesn't drain real fast with a toothpaste cap backed up by a hair spray pump cap stuck in the pipe. Drains great now that the obstructions are gone. The camera...

    Would I regret a 4 post lift?

In answer to you original question "would I regret a 4 post lift" this one you probably would. Do whatever it takes to get away from this Halo lift. They sound like a dumpster fire in the making.

    Liftmaster 8500 phantom opening

I did a pre-emptive strike and removed the control unit after reading about the random openings. Now it's just a push button by the door and the remote in the vehicle. Never felt the need to open or close the door with the app anyway.

Another One Gone - Wal Mart and Hart Split the Sheets

Not going to miss them. The screwdrivers aren't too bad and I recently got some Hart chisels but have yet to use them. I do like the 25' tape with the magnetic end but the play on the hook is obscene. When the 3 tapes I have wear out I'll find something better.

Battery powered lights. What are you using?

I think the Braun 1st gen lights are really hit or miss on quality. I have one that gets used almost daily. It's been dropped countless times and probably tossed a few as well I'm sure. Of course It's been on many a test drive forgotten until I need it again. I did spill half a quart of paint on...
