1920-60s DELTA / ROCKWELL picture thread - Post your Delta!

@Snip's you outdid yourself brother, eye candy of the highest order. I love those large, 1930s era RI Delta motors. Very nice touch with the brass hardware.

Craftsman Drill Press Information Belts, Bearings, Chucks, Keys, etc…1946-1984

@FrankLee I'm away from the drill press, but the motor was dated 1947, and the Craftsman badge on the top is the early "Guaranteed Highest Quality" above Craftsman.

Craftsman Drill Press Information Belts, Bearings, Chucks, Keys, etc…1946-1984

I noticed an ad in marketplace offering a Craftsman drill press. It had one single picture, and here it is. I asked the seller if he could post a picture of the actual drill press head and he added two pictures. You savvy Craftsman drill press owners would note that when the motor pulley...

1920-60s DELTA / ROCKWELL picture thread - Post your Delta!

@Corndoggeh I'm all about those cast iron casters! As for the sawdust blowers Delta offered in the 30s and 40s, I think the Tornado is even more difficult to track down than the Hamilton Beach.

1920-60s DELTA / ROCKWELL picture thread - Post your Delta!

Here is the other 1930s era Hamilton Beach vacuum that I'll clean up and mount on my disc sander as a "sawdust blower". About 90 years worth of dust/gunk When done it should look like this. Here is the post of that sawdust blower. Post in thread '1920-60s DELTA / ROCKWELL picture...

Here is the finished retractable caster set on the disc sander. Shown is caster retracted. Stepping on pedal cams caster down, lifting the sander for movement. Lifts and holds the sander comfortably off the floor.

The Vintage Craftsman GP Motor Thread

I currently have only one left, but have had several sleeved motors. All Century motors, all around 100 years old and they all ran flawless. Those sleeves will likely outlive you and I, whether stainless or bronze. As for grease, you must use oil with sleeved bearings. The cutouts are part of...

@BSWS outstanding grab, and with such an uncommon motor. That's icing on the cake.

THE WALKER-TURNER THREAD - Post your Walker-Turner pics

@shoot summ because of the aforementioned damage to the casting at the quill, I would pass. Not really an easy to find part and you can't use the motor. That thing is going to take a lot of work to get it looking good and serviceable. Some other guys may see it different, see the challenge and I...

    Craftsman Drill Press

@DDOPWD23 Here is a picture of the gearbox with the thrust bearing mounted on top and within. It does appear that my keyway goes slightly farther down into the threads. In this picture the lower gear bushing is riding just above where my threads end, similar to your keyway. Seems odd but...

    Craftsman Drill Press

@FrankLee that is the finest, most beautiful original Craftsman motor that I've ever seen. Tip o' the cap to your efforts on that. Remarkable.

THE WALKER-TURNER THREAD - Post your Walker-Turner pics

In my area of SoCal, a seller is offering this extremely early 1930s Walker Turner drill press for sale. Thought I'd highlight it here as you don't run across these very often. Note this is a Sears branded motor, "Commander". It's referenced as a "Burnt Orange Band" type motor and...
