All of this was used to install my ductless Minisplit. This is what you need if you're DYI. I made perhaps 8 flares with the yellow jacket flaring tool (did a few practice flares), its basically like new. The coupler is what you need to connect to the minisplit, used once. And the nylog was...
Wanted to followup and post some commentary in the event someone like myself comes along with questions. I had a previous thread where I detailed my purchase. But in short I bought the 18k LG Art Cool Premier Ductless Minisplit from ecomfort along with their install kit that included the...
That makes a whole lot of sense.
I'm getting ready to install my diversitech line set covers and was wondering about the best ways there. Is using a little bit of silicone under/around each screw going too far? I've not drilled a lot of things through my siding, so not sure best practices there.
Oh man. I can here the sizing police sirens now. You'll find a lot of "experts" on here that like to make comments but provide no real value. You're going to get a lot of did you do a load calc? There's your answer.
I'm not an expert but recently went through this sizing dilemma myself. I'm...
RPH do you have any pictures of this? I've got 5 gallons of 8510 ghostshield that i'm going to put down and I initially wanted to stain/dye but eventually just decided to seal because I couldn't find many examples of what it would look like.
I suspect we have different definitions of heavily, you being further north and all. I should have just put the actual insulation specs, but I was just trying to make the point that it was fully insulated. I've got just over r40 blown in above, r13 in the stick walls, half of the walls are...
I did, but not after the flurry of activity it had today. This statement in that thread echos some other things i've seen/heard about inverter systems and makes me wonder if I should have just gone with the 24k.
"The sweet thing about inverter systems is that going slightly too big isn't a...
Putting a 18k ductless minisplit in my adequately insulated 800sq ft attached garage(r40 blown in above, r13 in the stick walls, half of the walls are connected to the already climate controlled house. And both the 16x7; and the 8x8 door are insulated from the factory. There is one 3x5 newer...
Shea,
Thanks for providing some insight there.
If I want the dyed/stained look that allows me to refinish the topcoat which of these systems is best? While cost is not "no object" I don't want to do things that are unnecessary. My biggest concern is i'm getting a 4 post lift that has casters...
Is there a sealer on the market or one coming to market that has any gloss?
I've got it in my mind that a perfect solution for me would be a color dye/etch followed up with a sealer like ghostshield. The only problem i've seen is that the dye/etch doesn't look great without some sort of gloss...
Looks really nice. I want to do something similar, fortunately I only have 800 sq ft.
Two questions.
1. Would you do anything differently looking back?
2. Why the choice of Convergent sealer vs one of the popular ones often discussed here? (ghostshield)
Just joined up so I can tap the wealth of knowledge on the forum to help setup my garage in my new house. I'm fortunate to have a 3 car tandem garage on the new house, so on the double door it's 2 cars deep. Thats going to be my tool/workbench area. Planned projects in this order are to...
