    Bridgeport power drawbar question

An actual powered knee with the fancy lever would be nice. However, a drill chuck drive adapter was THE FIRST thing I bought for my mill. I have a dedicated drill that just sits on the knee spindle.

    The DeWalt Addiction Thread

The 12v drills and driver are my goto. I can't remember the last time I used my 20v driver and only use my 20v drill(s) if I need a bigger chuck, mo power or hammer drilling. I use the 12v light from time to time. I'd like to get one of those 5-in-1 drivers (DCD703F1), the offset head looks...

    Bridgeport power drawbar question

Similar concept as an impact or a powered drill. Sure, a ratchet or hand crank drill work but pulling a trigger is quicker and easier. I changed a lot of collets with a wrench and it worked fine but I love my powered drawbar and would be frustrated AF going back to using a wrench. FWIW, I'm...

    Black oxide hardware coating

If you only have 10 screws to do, buying new would definitely be the way to go, assuming that's a valid option. FWIW, I have zinc plated a lot of fasteners using the caswell kit and they have a black chromate to go with the zinc.

    Driveway tool cart/carrier

Another vote for a HF tool cart. I have the 1-drawer cart but expect that I'll upgrade to the 4 or 5 drawer cart sooner than later. What I find hilarious are the days when I'm too lazy to push the cart out to my truck so instead I walk back and forth to the cart, in the garage. 🤦‍♂️

    Enco lathe 13x40

That's what I have, just a little newer version. I looked for a while locally for a used machine and at the time nothing was popping up. I finally bought new. In hindsight I wished I had waited longer to get a heavier machine and it's still something I think about from time to time; selling...

Automotive wiring kit WITH dispenser box - help needed

I've purchased from them via their website and been happy. Be aware wire without a spool is a bit of a chore to deal with but with small quantities, I've managed.

    Skat Blast Mini Cabinet

I have one of the bigger ones and I bet 75% of what I've used it for would fit in the mini cabinet. If you're on a tight budget, don't forget to factor in consumables. The mini one almost looks like it could be regular size but for someone with big arms...

    Windy Nation wire

I've ordered plenty of wire that doesn't come with a spool at all and that would be better than that silly thing, Regardless, I'm with ya, it's cheesy. That said, it's probably better to just move on with life and find a new wire source if you feel it necessary.

New Toolbox search-Husky Heavy Duty vs Craftsman V Series vs US General

Agreed @ USG. Given the trend, I wonder if the USG series 4 is just going to look like a 3-drawer lateral file cabinet. I've been dreaming of an upgrade & expansion to replace my old mismatched 42" boxes. I want to like the USG boxes for the cost & colors (I want orange!) but I don't know how...

Is EBay completely worthless or does it just seem that way to me

I've been using ebay a little lately, replacing lost/missing wrenches & sockets with matching replacements. It's been awesome for that and still certainly has it's value. I wouldn't be on there for new power tools and the like, amazon price drop alerts surely beats some person just trying to...

    I don't want a track saw !

I use a Bora 100" (2 pieces @ 50") and I've been happy with it. Disclaimer: I've only used the 2nd piece to rip full sheets a handful of times. I usually cross cut a full sheet so that I can handle it easier in a table saw. $67 today and worth every bit IMO...

Building the You Tube compressor intake silencer--read before you build!

Dang, sorry you went to all that trouble for nothing! I had about the same results with my old Craftsman Oil-less compressor when I added a DIY muffler - though mine wasn't as nice as you built. I ended up building a box around the compressor but was still obnoxious. My old compressor finally...
