Might have to try one. Read a bunch of reviews and the general consensus was they don't last very long so buy a bunch. Some said a year for home use and 2 weeks for contractor use.
Thanks for the info but foam rubber won't last very long, IMO.
I think something like I'm going to make out of the Milwaukee one I posted above, with stainless spring steel inserts and a tough plastic housing would last as long as the drill.
Yeah, it depends on the model. The less expensive ones have them. One would think the very top, most expensive model (the one I got) would have them but it doesn't.
It just drives me nuts when something doesn't exist that I think should and would sell like crazy if it did. Sure wish I had the money to produce all of the ideas of inventions I've come up with over the years and later see on the market.
I recently bought a new cordless drill...

Thanks for maintaining this thread, Occupant! Every time you post a link to more resources, I subscribe immediately.
Well yeah, except when it's raining or snowing or 10 below zero or any combination of the above. Then you need some sort of hood and other protection depending on pressure and media used.
@jackoskate
Could you please post pics of how the hinges are mounted? Is this your own design or is there somewhere you could point me to, to get the plan?
Thanks!
