    Let's see your toolbox.

Sorta feel like I'm posting pics of a '93 civic after someone posted their ferrari pics following that Matco box, but here is my weekend tinker toolbox. I keep my saws and such stored seperately. Standard Craftsman ball bearing box. I need another one as I have a box or two of tools that I...

Ratchets Or (Modern) Ratcheting Wrenches; If You Had To Choose?

My vote would be to leave the ratcheting wrenches. I have a nice set of metric and SAE that an old girlfriend bought me. At the time (when I was in college) I thought they were God's gifts to hand tools, but honestly, they rarely get used. For me wrenches are only used in tight spaces where I...

Essentials for toolkit in the car

I keep a craftsman 150 piece tool kit with about 30 extra wrenches and screwdrivers in it. I also keep a toolbox with a 2 large pairs of channel locks, tire plug kit, tow chain, ratchet straps, flashlight, jumper cables, rope, pry bars, hammer, antifreeze tester, cigarette lighter powered air...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? Woke up planning to winterize my mower and sharpen the blades, of course "plans" always change. Got a call from my sister-in-law that her hot water heater had rusted through and was leaking all over her garage. Went and replaced her hot water heater...

What's your favorite portable tool box?

I've carried one of these in the back of the truck for the last couple years. I used to keep a craftsman 2 drawer metal box, but I've found that, personally, having a soft bag cuts down on clanking around and is easier to carry around. I also keep a craftsman 155 piece tool kit with the...

    Lets see your workbench

This is what it looks like at the moment. Hopefully within the next few months I will find the time to build myself a nicer workbench. I want a 6'x6' L-shaped workbench.

    New guys garage in Va.

Nope, no kids. We both love our toys too much. We plan to have children in 3 or 4 years, but we want to get everything (garage included) where we want it prior to having kids.

    New guys garage in Va.

Oh yeah, there is plenty of room out back. The driveway is 2 cars wide at the end so we have discussed making a new 2 car drive into garage right at the end of the driveway.

    New guys garage in Va.

Yes, it is a drive under garage. Sorry, I forgot to add that! One other thing I need to tackle is lighting. Currently the entire garage is lit by 3 bulbs. I'm going to take all those out and replace them all with fluorescent lighting. 4 bulb units for the ones in the middle of the garage...

    New guys garage in Va.

Already stated in my introduction thread, but I'm a 28 year old married man in Va. My wife and I purchased a house a little over a year ago and my brother and I remodeled the entire house. I enjoy wood working, metal working and love my cars. Unfortunately my 2002 Corvette had to go bye bye...
