What kinda lift do you have?

I am having the same dilemma - going back and forth between single-post (no access for service, most expensive, least amount of room), 2 post (great access, lowest cost, big posts in the way that don't move), 4 post (compromise on access vs. storage, middle cost, portable, but four smaller posts...

    greg smith floor tile

I called Greg Smith Equipment about their Pro Park 7 Lift that is on sale for $1775 and asked about a floor tile that would support moving the lift on casters with or without a car on the lift. They said the pvc tiles would not take that much abuse, but the rubber ones were relatively...

VCT and Garage Application - info from Armstrong Tech Line

Not at all - very much appreciated. I would really like to use the VCT tile because of the sharp looks. I am not really fond of the thought of multiple coats of wax, though, and would like to put some type of epoxy or clear coat on it. My reason for contacting the Tech Line was to ask about...

VCT and Garage Application - info from Armstrong Tech Line

I called Armstrong Tech Line today to ask about using VCT for a garage floor. I read in the details on the tile that it is not supposed to ever be below 55F and a garage here in Michigan, even heated, will get that cold when you open the doors! Here is her reply, including a Technical Services...

    Flexi-Tile at Lowe's?

The price is really more than that - they are 20" tiles which makes it almost $4.75 sq/ft for the $13 ones and just over $4 sq/ft for the black/gray. That's more than Racedeck and there is some tile on eBay for about $2 sq/ft. John

Anyone make a work bench out of their rolling tool cabinet?

That is what I am doing with two of my rolling storage cabinets. They fit under the counter and then can be moved when needed. That is an excellent idea for the limited space above, too. John

Gotta love those wish I would of paid someone to do it projects....

I've got good inspectors here <knock on wood>. Plumbing inspector drew a diagram with specs for all the plumbing - for free! He didn't even look in the crawl space when he came out to inspect the rough-in. I know electrical fairly well, so that wasn't much of a problem - electrical inspector...

Best floor covering w/four post lift on casters?

I am going to be installing a four post lift on casters and wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations/experience with either tile or epoxy, especially if you are folling the lift with the weight of a car on it? John Reynolds Allendale, MI

    Garage Cabinets?????

Check out Menards and Home Depot (or similar home centers in your area). I picked up brand new special order returned cabinets for 10-15 cents on the dollar. Counter tops (some with chips on the edge) can be had for $2/foot and if they are special order damaged, $1/foot or less. Just joined...
