    c. 1924 Perry-Fay Company (Elyria, Ohio) "Set-O-Six" Radio Socket Wrench Set

The Peter-Fay Company may have produced one more socket! I went to a garage sale this morning and found this “PATENT APPLIED FOR” marked nut driver, with a 3/16” flat head socket. It has the same checkered diamond knurling as noted on Lugz’s sockets upthread.

My small but growing collection of Wizard tools (all Western Auto welcome)

I found this late 1930s Western Auto ChromeXQuality socket this weekend - 1 1/16" Socket; 3/4"-drive; 12-point. The drive end of this socket has very sharp edges. I understand the ChromeXQuality brand was used from 1936 - 1939, prior to the company switching to their Wizard brand.

    Show Off Your Antique Ratchet

Here’s an early The Bay State ratchet (PAT APLD FOR). It’s 6” long with a 1/2”-drive on one end and a 3/8”-drive on the other. Upthread, @four.cycle showed a Bay State Tool Co. 1909 advertisement, but it’s a different ratchet design. It still works well.

The Ancient and Independent Order of Oddfellows (Adjustables, that is...)

Bottom four are the Carll Wrench (also A.B.C. wrench) with a patent date of May 6, 1913. The top one is unmarked, but very similar (any ideas?).

The Ancient and Independent Order of Oddfellows (Adjustables, that is...)

I just pulled these out and cleaned them off. Bottom three are the Robert patent wrench (later manufactured by the Hoe Corporation) patented Feb. 21 1922. The top two are Lake Superior wrenches, which are very similar, but without the spring. Sizes: 8”, 9”, 10”, 14” and 16”.

    Lane Ratchet

I picked up a Will B. Lane 1/2"-hex drive "Unique" ratchet (patented January 14, 1908) recently. I had been looking for one for a while to match up against one of its contemporaries, the K&S ratchet (Ratchet Collection thread), for comparison's sake. Kolb and Sedgley (K & S) filed for a...
