How to fix this rust hole?

The rocker panel needs to be cut out and a new panel welded in, the bondo showing is over 1/8" thick, which does not bode well for not only this side of the car, but I'm betting the other rocker panel as well. This is a structural part of your cars chassis, and should not be repaired haphazardly...

How to fix this rust hole?

That is not the only rust near your jack point, as close as I can see, given my time with other northeast, rust inhibited 911/912's, I( can tell you that you need to open the entire panel at least 6" in all directions. What you see is just the tip of the iceberg here, and the bondo that hid the...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT MrBill's 30x50 garage/home renovation insanity

How time flies, while we purchased the house in January 2023, we kept it under wraps from everyone until April 4th, 2023, when we posted the first picture below. Between that time, we have taken out several 20 yard dumpster loads from the interior, and cleaned up 6-10" of yard waste and debris...

Looking to find a concrete driveway sealer, due to excessive pressure washing...

The quality of the product delivered to the construction site is the key ;) Given it was a newer development, it means that the lowest bidder not only ordered the concrete for that day, but was in charge of ensuring it was installed properly. Plenty of quality work out there, my old and new...

Looking to find a concrete driveway sealer, due to excessive pressure washing...

If you are seeing it elsewhere in your development then more then likely it has to do with the original pour and mix then someone using a pressure washer to clean their driveway. Take a well lit picture of the issue(s), I'm betting the life expectancy of your concrete driveway has reached it's...

Things in your garage that you wish WEREN'T in your garage.

Thanks it's a lot of fun to drive, one of 6 convertibles, which is why I either need to drive it more, or put it on the chopping block. Time will tell one way or the other. Bill

Things in your garage that you wish WEREN'T in your garage.

My 65 Sunbeam Tiger, although not openly for sale, I do have an itch towards freeing up the garage space it currently occupies. I keep waffling on the idea, each time I think it's time, I take it for a ride with the hardtop off and the wind in my hair. Maybe in the spring, just maybe o_O Bill

Sister's furnace acting up, not blowing hot after 15 min...it's too large for her home?

Goodman is junk, I had one in my last home.....Yes, if it's 15 years old, it will cost you almost (say 40-60%) as much to repair as it will be to replace. If she will be in the house more than a few months, it's well worth the money to replace it now. The ROI will be less then 4 years vs what...

Sister's furnace acting up, not blowing hot after 15 min...it's too large for her home?

You beat me to it, although, a blocked flue, or a cracked heat box or coil could be part of the problem. OP failed to let us know the model number, or if it is a single stage or duel stage, oil, gas, or a heat-pump type of unit. Same goes for single story, bi level, split level, or small 2 story...

Finally started work this week on the Caterham 7 "baseline" , June 2002 dated fuel filter has been successfully replaced, system pressurized, no leaks found, oil, oil filter, brake and clutch fluids, topped off anti-freeze overflow bottle (half way) and have been burping air out of that system...

Either you vet the contractor and the sub contractor/supplier he uses, or yes, at times, you get screwed. We have been fortunate to have access to local crews, with their own long term employees. Easy enough to review past customer reviews, which for us meant taking drives out to see the...

The mix is the trick for cold weather, same goes for the insulation blankets for the first 24 hours. After that, it's a matter of not walking or driving on the pour for a minimum of 8 days, we waited 10 and at that point, after discussion with friends in the business in the northeast, felt it...
