    Suspended Waterproof Floor

What if you built a pole barn of the size that you want and build a raised floor attached to the poles. I'm thinking metal decking with about 2" of concrete. That is how second story decks are build around here and we get lots of frost. When your lease is up, the concrete floor could be broken...

Living with a lift in a two car garage?

If you're planning on storing a third car on the lift, you need 12 feet of ceiling height. I have a 24' wide garage and went with a 4 post. A two post has a post in the center of the floor, right where you want to open the car door H

    Electric UTV vs Golf-Cart?

I bought an old electric golf cart that needed batteries. I cheated and put 3 RV batteries (36v). It doesn't have the jam that new GC batteries would have especially on hills but for my purposes it works perfectly. Electric carts that need batteries go cheap. H

    Aluminum

Thank you for all your replies. I was looking on Amazon and for the price of their griddles, I think this aluminum plate will become something else. I have no idea what. Does anyone have an idea for a piece of aluminum 18"x36"x.5". Thanks again H

    Aluminum

Is all aluminum food safe? I was given a piece of aluminum plate 1/2" thick that I was thinking of making a griddle out of for my pellet grill. I just not sure if I would poison myself by grilling food on it. I have no history on the plate. Thanks in advance H

Generator won't start, back fires instead. Valves?

Start with a new good quality spark plug. Not a Champion. I have learned this from experience. If it works, great, if it doesn't it didn't cost much H

That's what I was going to say. You could even put in the proper windows in proper places, just keep the curtains closed. H

4 car apartment garage with apartment

With a 4 car garage, are all four daily drivers, or are some "projects"? Don't know if it's feasible but could you have a 1 or 2 car garage for the dailys and appt on the main level and another garage/shop on the second as you mentioned an elevation change. Just throwing it out there

Canadian garage - experiencing a snow-melt-ice build up issue due to gutter layout. Ideas?

I live about an hour west of you. what I have done is a rain barrel year round. I put a stock trough heater in the barrel for the winter and when a sump pump with a float. If the barrel gets full of ice, plug in the heater for a day and then put in the sump pump to pump the water away. The pump...

    Spare tire and hub mount

One thing that came to mind is that when you walk by the assy, you should give it a spin so the rollers rotate once in a while. Otherwise the race could get pitted over time. H

Anyone installed radiator for portable air compressor?

Not entirely sure if a "radiator" would handle the pressure. An AC condenser would, if you can find one with large enough tubing H

Frost / water on garage walls - desperate for a solution

You could try vents. The humidity is way to high in the garage. Maybe even put in a fan to get some air moving thru there. Just remember that my advice and a couple of bucks will get you a cup of coffee H

    Hitch receiver storage ?

Biggest problem with leaving them in, is that many end up being rusted in place. Lots of fun getting them out when the need arises

Anyone buy a snap on box as a hobbyist? Any regrets? Should I get one or stay away?

I have a lot of snap on tools. (retired professional mechanic) I look at snap on as the Rolls Royce of tools. Not everyone wants or needs a Rolls Royce. That is your own personal choice for you and you alone H

    IBC Tote Container use

I have found that there are actually about 3 different thread styles on those totes. I have an industrial supply place that stocks "banjo" products and they have the different adaptors.
