    Fall Protection

I'm looking to do some gutter work, re-mortor the chimney cap and possibly look at installing skylight or solar panels later on. I have a couple of ladders that can get me on the 2nd story roof, but I really need some recommendation on proper fall protection. As background, I'm 5'10", range...

    angle grinder recommendation

I grabbed a metabo when it was on sale, the amount of power puts my makita grinder to shame. If you want power, metabo is the way to go.

Finally ready to buy a welder...help!

I actually have the opposite regret as you. I purchased a Hobart 140 (drop shipped from factory) and wish I had opted for the Miller 211. I have not unboxed the 140, mainly b/c I haven't had time to tinker with my "race car" projects. If you're set on the Hobart 140, I'm willing to work out a...

    Makita vs Milwaukee

I have a set of Makita tools and growing. I feel the Makita are more ergonomic, feels better in your hand, and power is adequate for what I do. I've grown my Makita collection to close to 10 pieces over the years, and not one tool has failed, though in fairness I only use them for in house...

    PB Swiss Tools

I spent a couple hours shopping on their site, and when I tried to place the order just now, the price in the cart jumped back to original price. Their homepage clearly states Cyber Monday 30% Off until 11:59PST (2:59EST). I'm very disappointed since this is the first time I'm placing order...

How to find a slow tire leak?

UPDATE: Pulled the tire off this weekend and went through the tread again with soapy water this time. It turns out a tiny cut (2 to 3 mm long with no visible foreign material) had a very slow leak. I tried to dig into the rubber with a pick and felt something hard (glass?) but couldn't pry it...
