    Disintegrating Tool Cabinet Casters

Re: Replacement Casters Andy: I have those exact same ones on a Lista cabinet that I converted into a tool box. About 5 years old and they seem fine. If your box is very heavy and you rarely move it, it gets a temporary flat spot, that seems to go away after you move it. Just be careful...

    Sand Blasting

This is the way to go if you are powder coating misc. sized car parts. If it fails, they can't claim it wasn't prepped properly. I've gone this route a few times and it always seems to work out well.

    Permitting for Dummies

Anyone that gives advice to not get building permits or inspections where they are required, is giving terrible advice. At some point the piper will have to be paid. I for one am very leery of buying property that has work done without permits. There are way too many people with more ambition...

Re: SNAFU - Situation Normal All F@#* Up - Part Deux Sorry to hear about your troubles. This ADA thing is something that can easily bite you in the tail. I am surprised they are asking for equivalent facilities. This is not required elsewhere, if you declare the upstairs bathroom to be "for...

    Advice on lift anchors...

You should follow the manufacturer's specs to the letter. That said, you probably didn't damage anything by going to 100 instead of 90. You should test them for torque periodically. As long as they can be torqued to spec, you should be ok.

    20x21 Rust Bullet Prep Question/Install

My experience in many respects was similar to yours. My concrete was in a bit better condition so I did not grind the floor. Cleaned it very well and used the etching degreaser that was supplied by Justin (that stuff worked great!). After two coats of the silver, there were still a fair...

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT The Garage at The Place in The Valley (Garage Condo 45x23x20)

Ahh, yes, I didn't think your door was that tall. Mine's 10 ft and if I give it a good push it'll fully open. And yes the rope is an entirely inelegant solution. I may have to follow your lead and get an H opener (they seem to be about $100 more than the J) when I do go ahead to buy it so I can...

The garage door I have is a balanced sectional door that runs vertically along the wall (In other words, you can open it and push it up to more or less any position and it stays at that position.) I suspect yours is also balanced, yours just runs horizontally along some of the travel. I have the...

Joining Racedeck Tiles without Interlocking Pegs (**** Joints)

Wow, those cuts look perfect. Great job on the tile job. I guess there wasn't any other way to orient the lifts so that the four post doesn't interfere with the two post on approach? It almost looks like you need to drive in straight and then make a left to get onto the two post? Or is it an...

    Full Rise Scissor Lift

GLP35 minimum clearance is about 5 inches, which means it wouldn't work for me, but good to know that the two hydraulic set up works. Can you post the video you looked at that made you think the Nussbaum looked shaky? I did see the video that Redwolf references.
