Record #23 with quick release is awesome

Thank you for getting rid of the horrible silver paint! Quick release looks like one of those things that after you use a vice with that you could never go back to one without it!

    E-tek Restorations: PROJECT THREAD

Re: E-tek Resto's 56 Chevy Truck Oh, ok, I know the stuff you're talking about. I didn't think you would use electrical tape, but it just looked really shiny for it to the the vinyl wrap. Looks great! What an attention to detail!

    E-tek Restorations: PROJECT THREAD

Re: E-tek Resto's 56 Chevy Truck Just curious, what's with the electrical tape? Is it electrical tape? Why not use shrink tape, or some other type of wire loom?

I just got off the phone with Snap-on...

I just warrantied a soft blow hammer. I called them Friday and explained the situation and the new one showed up today Monday. I don't understand how you don't understand that a business doesn't want to warranty something you didn't buy first hand from them? Especially government and military...

    ********

It's all built with biscuits and glue, so no nails/screws (except for the legs, those are nailed). The ones I just finished building today I assembled the frame with 3" wood screws and glue, and attached the top with a finish nailer and glue. The nail holes are very small and will be able to...

    ********

That's half the fun! I've built a few sets over the last couple of years. Here is my favorite set so far. I first stained them using a basic oil stain, then applied 2 or 3 coats of polyurethane. Next, I taped off where my blue boarder was to be, and primed then painted. A then applied the UK...

Help me pick a new wrench set....

Seems like a lot of money for Craftsman raised panels. I'd go the Blackhawk over those.

    Finish Nailer?

I've got a few different nailer, but I find my Bostitch Angled Finsher nailer to be my go to gun 90% of the time.

CL Snap On box in desert

Maybe it's that the pictures are crappy, but it kind of looks like it's been repainted to me. Also, I can't tell, is it friction slides or ball bearing?

Anyone used map/blueprint drawers as a tool box?

I'm not familiar with the boxes your talking about but my biggest concern would be if they could handle the weight or not. Seeing as though they are built for maps and blueprints, I wouldn't think so, but I really don't know.

    Weekend toolbox rehab

I'm not too good on the price of SO boxes, but that seems like a great deal to me. Excellent job on the clean up.
