FYI Harbor Freight's Acetylene/Oxygen/Argon/Co2 tanks are made in USA

I bought one of these last month. HF bottle was a little too small for the price imo. http://www.usaweld.com/Gas-Bottle-Refurbished-p/99900.htm

    Wasting gasket maker tubes

I used to squeeze some out past the nozzle and on my next use, I just pull that little nub out and go. Now i just cap it and forget about it. If I really want to save it, I usually just cut a slit on the bottom of the tube and squeeze from there. but I have the luxury to go through one or two a...

Battery jump box? Which one? So many...

Not really a comparison but my Cornwell branded JNC660 will jumpstart things at 50% charge than those lithium-ion packs or HF jumpers at 100%. So yes I recommend them, that and they're proven.

GearWrench 3680 Serpentine belt removal and install tool Review & Comparison

I love mine. Had it for 3 years now. I also use it to break loose bolts in weird angles cause of the long leverage it provides. Some times the ratcheting part locks up so I have to smack it against a work bench and it'll start ratcheting again. That and some cars, it can't beat a dedicated...

Stiff drawer slides on matco box

Snap-on ran a credit line on a $100 ratchet? Is that the normal compared to matco/mac

I've given my SSN to two different SO dealers, one Cornwell and I think my Matco dealer as well. None of them ran my credit unless I signed something. None of them were pushy about it so I had no problem. Except one of the SO dealers kept trying to give away jackets and other free stuff if you...

Are no scratch lug nut impact sockets worth buying?

Thought about getting some, didn't want to worry about getting them warrantied though. So I passed. I usually switch to chrome sockets with a light touch of the trigger if I'm worried about scratching the wheels.

    Air ratchet

I have a 1/4 Aircat. It's the red and black one. Had it a few years now. Use it daily at work. It's comfortable to use and has good power, haven't noticed a dropoff in power much. There are better ratchets out there but for the money. Can't really beat it.

    Welder

http://www.hobartweldshop.com/factory-refurbished-hobart-handler-140-mig-wire-welder/ Bought a 210MVP A-Stock Reconditioned off Amazon last month. Came with a scuff or two but it performs like new. Love it. Would highly recommend at least the 140.

Which battery lifter for side post batteries?

I use one of these Lisle battery carriers. You have to make sure it's square and somewhere in the middle using one of these. I dropped a battery before cause I was careless.

    The Bosch addiction thread

I see a lot of those 12v saws. How do you guys like them? How well can it cut? Most I would probably use it to cut is a M14-16 bolt. or should I look at the 18v recip instead.

    1/4" Air impact Matco??

Even if I had one, I would never use it. Any 12v impact now a days works wonders taking apart cars.

So Matco is backordered on all ratchets

I had that issue trying to warranty my 3/8 long handle locking flex a few months back. He told me it was backordered then. I was pretty annoyed. Eventually got one but it took over a month.

Vacuum Pump For Air Conditioner Service

I have one of those vacuum pumps from HF. Wouldn't recommend it. Don't think it pulled anywhere near 20inHg. Only used it once or twice though but hey, it's cheap enough to try.
