What is the standard for a conduit run into a pole barn?

I have concrete already - so it looks like 2 lbs will be installed.

What is the standard for a conduit run into a pole barn?

I am trying to keep the outside conduit run to a minimum - so my plan is to come into the building low and SCH 80 it up to the panel.

What is the standard for a conduit run into a pole barn?

I got my trenching done - planning to run conduit tomorrow. 2", schedule 40 outside. As I approach the barn I will have an LB that 90's the feed into the building and have a few questions. 1. Do you run another LB on the inside of the building up to the panel or just a 90 in schedule 80 up to...

How to mount these light fixtures..I must be missing something.

I think I have a solution. This crude powerpoint diagram shows what I think I am going to do on my one ribbed install. A 4" black weatherproof box will be used and mounted at the peak of the rib. A 1/2" hole will be drilled through the rib and a piece of conduit will run and thread into the...

How to mount these light fixtures..I must be missing something.

Its the only light on the back of the building, everything else sits in a flat spot on the siding. I am thinking that having it offet to the left a few inches is not going to be the end of the world. Otherwise the box will sit out an additional 3/4-1" from the siding with something behind it.

How to mount these light fixtures..I must be missing something.

I did a fair amount of searching through the forum - but didn't see anything conclusive. I did find a pic of the weather proof boxes, using the exact fixture we have. My concern is how bad it will look if I have to cut the siding to get the light to center over a door. Maybe I am wrong about it...

How to mount these light fixtures..I must be missing something.

I am trying to avoid cutting the siding - So I was going to make adapters that follow the ridge of the building, and paint them black to match the fixture. I thought those would be easier to seal. If I do an outside box, the adapter and the the mount that is going to be to much on the outside...

How to mount these light fixtures..I must be missing something.

So picture are a Millennium gooseneck mounting bracket for our exterior lights. I think I have a plav for the areas that have the ribbing. Cut some 4" PVC that I am going to cut to match the profile of the siding - so all I need is a small hole for the wiring and screws. The think I am baffled...

    Craftsman 113 Table Saw Parts..Anyone?

In a bonehead maneuver I got a little rambunctious with the circular saw and cut into the soft aluminum fence gear rails on my vintage Craftsman 113.27520 table saw. Does anyone have these parts on an old dead table they would part with? Thanks Derek-

The land layout didn't really allow for a large door on the end. Which is why we opted for the two sliding doors on either side of the building. There is a driveway on the right hand side of the building and we can access the other slider through the back yard if need be. The only thing we have...

The roof pitch is 4/12 and the metal is 29 gauge. The build crew is all done. Now its on to concrete and the front doors. We got a lot of rain over the past few days so the whole site is pretty muddy. You can see pretty much all that is left from a debris perspective. I was really impressed at...

Here we have most of the siding up. I don't have the paperwork in front of me so I cannot quote on the specs right now. The contract with National Barn did not break out materials vs labor, it was all inclusive in what we were quoted.

All the windows and small doors are installed. The crew started the wainscoting is starting to be installed. We keep running into problems with weather. This thing will hopefully get done soon.

Things have moved along nicely in the last week. Weather has been warm but free of rain. The crew got most of the framing work done - we should be on to the roof and sides this week. So far no issues with the build.

Jack - our builder finished digging all the holes yesterday for the large uprights. City inspector came out and approved the footings. The sucky part is we got rain again last night - so work is suspended for the day. If all goes well this weekend will be dry and we will make some progress.

National Barn delivered the barn package. Initial impression was damn - there is not a whole lot here. You expect to see a whole lot more sheet metal. All the pieces seem to be of good quality. Took about a week to get the build scheduled. And then the rain started.

Here is the finished pad. We are in the midst of a Middle Tennessee monsoon and the pad has had very little standing water on it. The mounds of dirt are 20+ feet high in places.

After most of the trees were taken care of the excavation company came in to prep the pad. We had to be within 2" of level across the pad. Given our site and the grade - drainage was a priority. The dozer was on site for almost three days straight working the pad. I had no idea the level of the...

We started clearing the land of brush and taking down the trees. I had a guy come in with a forestry machine and clear out anything under 6" in diameter and turn it into mulch. He used a back hoe to push down all the trees. We didn't want to leave stumps in the ground as it would impact the...
