    Husky Tools

I have an absolutely AWESOME 33 gallon air compressor from Husky COO: USA. Has been completely outstanding so far! I checked HD's website: the compressor had 20+ reviews, and it's overall rating was 4.8 out of 5.0. That was all I needed to know. Their air tools took an absolute verbal...

Using Harbor Freight 20% Coupon @ Home Depot

Price match WHAT.....? They sell completely different name brands. That makes zero sense to me.

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

I showed up with the 44" Tool Cabinet coupon, an "Insiders Club" coupon, and a 25% off coupon, and the cashier honored all 3 without question. That was last week :). Heck, she even handed me all 3 coupons back for more purchasing fun! That made me really happy - especially the 25% one!

    Craftsman Two-Car Space

Another great result of RaceDeck being added! I am looking at doing this in the near future too, and your garage is another "push" towards RaceDeck. Looks really great!

    My twin HF 44 workbench....

Can you explain how exactly you did this? I love the idea of making the 44" boxes into a workbench but lack the knowledge to do so. If it's "your secret" - no problem - just figured I'd ask. Thanks!

Starting this Garage build with all 10 fingers...

Excuse me - new guy here - what is that red tool that is nearly shaped like an arrow called, and what is its purpose?? I'd do a search for it, but I don't even know its name or purpose, so I figured I'd just ask. Thanks!

Craftsman Open End Ratcheting Wrenches 7pc Set Sae n MM

I have these - mine are double ended open end wrenches (10mm and 11mm on the same wrenchbody). The bolt you're turning has to be pretty secure or else the bolt will tighten and loosen as you use these wrenches. When they work, it's beautiful - but more often than not - the bolts loosen when I...

    Racedeck Flooring Question

Yours was actually the one that made us decide to pursue this option. We loved what you did with your garage - GREAT job !!

    Racedeck Flooring Question

Sure will! I will probably go a simple checkerboard pattern or something similar so when I move into a home (renting a townhome on WPAFB property now), I can just expand the pattern out!

Tool chest review - Sears, Tractor Supply, Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight

Finally went out and bought a 44" HF box. Didn't need this thread to pull the trigger, but man, Mister Moose's analysis was certainly a strong push in the right direction. Thanks Mister Moose for an amazing comparison and contrast post - you helped swing another person to HF!

    Racedeck Flooring Question

Wow, very cool to see RaceDeck actually respond here at GJ! I didn't know you guys were here, or I'd have just PM'd! Yeah, my wife and I want our garage to look really nice, and we browsed a couple garages here that have your flooring - particularly dubber's single garage, and we're very...

    Racedeck Flooring Question

Hey everyone, So I've been browsing a number of threads here, and a good number of people went with RaceDeck for their flooring in their garage. It looks fantastic- I just wanted to ask a couple questions. When you install these tiles, how close to the edge of the garage door do you guys...

    Show your new tool arrivals

Brought these goodies home this week: The flex wrenches are $19 at HD ($17 if you're AD and have your ID). The X-Beams were a bit hrader to find, but they came in the mail this week. $42 for them (that includes shipping) off of eBay. So $59 for both, I am not complaining! Unfortunately...

Forums telling n00bs to go overboard on professional quality tools...

When I first learned to play drums, I bought a kit with cymbals for $250. It was no Tama Starclassic or Pearl Masters series; it was some X-brand that was beginner level. But man, when I bought it, I felt like I was in Metallica in their glory days. I enjoyed every day I played. I got better...

Husky Air Compressors 20 and 33 gals at $149 and $249

Good thing I'll use it during the day ;). I almost went with the 20 gal; I came so close. My thoughts were - someday - we'll own our own stand-alone home, we want to build a good 2000 - 3000 sq foot barage (a garage shaped like a barn from the outside); and I'm thinking "long term" on that...

Husky Air Compressors 20 and 33 gals at $149 and $249

So, I walked into Home Depot just to "look around" - maybe just pick up a tool or accessory here and there. Then I see this: Click here Wow. A 33 gallon, oil-free air compressor needing only 120V for $250? Made in the good ol' US of A too. I thought a long time - did some Googling and...

chair or seat ideas for garage/workshop beer drinking/admiring?

My wife and I used those "fold out" chairs that you see people constantly use at car shows/cruise-ins. Simple enough and can packed and put away easily with using very little room.
