    Some Room To Breathe

Must say your "office" looks a lot better in the after picture. Do you have another garage beside the shop?

Seat came out nice. People like you, the ones that like to rehab in run down areas, are called urban pioneers. With two buildings and a vacant lot you are certainly doing your part. Your enthusiasm seemingly has no end. Don't burn yourself out.

    Light duty Jib crane

I'd like to see some pictures as well. My friend Barry has a jib crane in front of his shop. The winch uses compressed air. I used it for the first time to unload some heavy hydraulic cylinders from my truck. Nothing like having the right tool for the job.

Are they going to take out the block basement as well? Does not look all that sturdy. Do you have a plan for the mobile home chassis? What will you be doing with the vacant lot? You are turning into a land baron. I like the idea of living in an old shop with lots of space for toys. But...

Lucky No. 7 Rod & Customs Garage Build

Re: New House with Two Attached Garages Your garage looks 100% better with the painted paneling. I have a Jet 14" band saw. Very similar to what you have. I converted mine to cut metal with a jackshaft. Whether you keep it set for wood or slow it down for metal there is one upgrade that I...

Did It Myself Lista Tool Box

My thanks to everyone who replied and to all of the 1,300+ folks who have taken a look so far. Laying out the angle iron corner cuts is easy. Side rails (length and width) are cut short by two times the metal thickness. Example: If you are using 2"x2"x3/16" and you want a 24" side rail you...

Did It Myself Lista Tool Box

If you are talking front to back about 28". If you are talking face depth the top 4 drawers are 2" deep, the next 4 are 3" deep and the next 2 are 5" deep. On the left the bottom drawer is 8" deep and on the right the bottom 2 drawers are 4" deep. I have some 1" drawers that would fit on...

Did It Myself Lista Tool Box

Lista Mobile Tool Box 01 by Formerly JimboT, on Flickr Several months ago I found this Lista cabinet on Craigslist. I had my friend Ben at MMS Powder Coating and Sandblasting make it red. I put it on some casters and stepped back and gave it a long look. I didn't like it. Lista Mobile Tool Box...

Correct breaker size for 15A compressor?

I just love these electrical threads, the ones where the OP has a simple question and gets a simple answer in one or two replies. Then, the the pros, semi-pros, advanced do-it-yourselfers, and the occasional troll argue an irrelevant point for four pages. GJ wars.

Unistrut can solve a lot of problems. Need to extend one of my air lines about 40 feet plus drops. This is an option I need to look at. .

Just moved in, so it's basic! Help me outfit it!

PhotoBucket charges for downloads over a certain limit. When you hit the limit, easy to do with links forum threads, they shut you down for a while. I have been using Flickr.com as my photo host. I have over 6,000 pictures and over a million hits and they don't mess with me at all. Check out...

Small UK workshop in Surrey BIG PLANS!!

A lot of otherwise competent car hobbyists and even professionals are at a loss when it comes to electrical wiring and components. I have seen more than one bundle of spaghetti tucked behind a dashboard. I suspect the original builder added the household wire when he discovered fiberglass is...

    Aussie Garage starts this week!

I got nailed for running a red light in Denton Texas a couple of years ago. I swear it was yellow when I entered but who do you argue with? You will be pleased, I am sure, to know that the here in the USA the computer program and the hardware for this kind of thuggery is provided by an...

Small UK workshop in Surrey BIG PLANS!!

Move your pictures to Flickr.com. The hosting is free and the programing is easy to use. My knowledge of all things British is quite limited and the following question demonstrates that. I thought the "Spitfire" and the Hawker "Hurricane" were two different airplanes. I'll bet those ladies...

Frame swaps and Camero (et al) subframes are more difficult than they might seem. Getting the front clip secured with a "factory built it that way" look is a challenge. Gas tank looks nice and is well protected. Trashing the original tank is Job 1 on an old pickup project.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Out on Quaker Road

Earlier this week I made an overnight trip from Jonesboro to Ft Smith via US-67 and I-40. Made two side trips, one to visit a Hot Rod Shop and the other to pick up some hydraulic cylinders for a friend. Old abandoned chicken barns were everywhere. I did not see any mega barns like yours but...

Older Lista Drawer and Lock Parts Source Needed

Who did you talk to at Lista? I never had any success finding someone who actually knew what spares they stocked. I also need some end caps and maybe a lock.
