    Ceiling Planning/Layout

I'm not sure if radiant gas tube heaters require the same as a hot air heating system. (Push down the warm air) My only experience with radiant tube is in a HD checkout area where it is radiating like the sun and seems very effective without fans. In my last shop with the hanging "modine" type...

    Tear in steel siding

It's located where it matters. I've removed good panels from the back side to move them to the front when matching material is impossible. But this will double your work. You might be able to straighten out the corner (damaged) panels if you can live with it out back.... or just make a new...

    Tear in steel siding

Visually, you're repair (replace this panel) will probably be more noticeable than the damaged area that you've been living with for a long time. 👍 It appears to be a corner panel and replacement will now be obvious on 2 separate walls instead of just 1 low down, small area on 1 wall. (that...

    Deck Resurfacing

Maybe you have better suppliers or treatment companies down there in The Lone star state.👍 I don't use it for much beyond sill plates on concrete anymore. Framing on decks seems to be OK but I'll laminate 2x6's together for posts, even where a 4x4 would be. The 5/4 treated deck boards.... meh...

    Deck Resurfacing

My point was beyond a 2x anything you're on your own.👍 The soft juvenile center of a tree is very prone to rot.

    Deck Resurfacing

^^^ not true beyond about 1- 1 1/2 inches. I've never cut a 4x4 (3.5x3.5) that didn't have a 1"+ white wood un treated circle in the middle.

    Deck Resurfacing

Today's "dimensional" lumber seems to be more of a rough approximation of said dimensions anymore. Thankfully it so cheap to buy!😉 PT seems even worse.

    Unusual structure

I've seen a variety of this type of "suspension" in older buildings including threaded rods. I definitely would not remove it unless you like very springy floors. There was no engineered lumber back then a the size of timbers & joists were limited to local resources and budgets.

Can’t help myself sometimes, bought a floor jack at an estate sale

Repairing a floor jack is exactly how I was led here to GJ many moons ago! Usually it's just a matter of seals and/or just oil.👍

Single Axle Car Hauler, anyone made one before?

For some reason I assigned a smaller tow vehicle since his loads are very light. A full size 250/350 size pickup is a lot more forgiving with excessive tongue weight. Loading this way is easy and putting the heavy end on the tongue will do it. Now with a smaller weight/sprung tow vehicle...

Skid steer or mini excavator for some dirt work?

You should ask them if they feel like directing the water around the house way up slope in the upper yard would be the right move beyond the localized grading and wall work that you've proposed here. From (only) the pictures that's what I'd recommend. It wouldn't be more than a gentle swale...

Single Axle Car Hauler, anyone made one before?

I think the dollys requires a license plate as they're usually towed some of the time empty. The state needs your money! Single axle car trailer can get into a careful placement of the car to avoid possible catastrophe being the correct tongue weight.

Single Axle Car Hauler, anyone made one before?

Have you thought about a car dolly vs a trailer?

    "Grout"?

The chipped out area, is that part of the building slab or the driveway? To achieve a recess it needs to be towards the inside of the building around 3" inside of the posts. Overhead doors are usually fastened to a 2x6 attached flat to the inside of the framing to accommodate the door track...

    Heater size question

Seems cheap enough, but remember you your concerns should be on your degree of insulation. The harder it is for your heat to leave (or enter) the building, the less your size and fuel type really matters.👍

Trenching to a depth of 48" for water lines

Keep in mind that a chain dug 6"+/-" wide trench is much easier to restore to almost original than a backhoe dug trench. My bigger is better suggestion was for definitely hitting your desired depth and having the backhoe as a backup and it'll be a benefit at each termination of the ditch...

Trenching to a depth of 48" for water lines

I haven't kept up on modern "ditch which" machines, but it used to be with the larger ride on machines that you'd have a backhoe on one end for the occasional rock or hard ground too tough for the digging chain. I'd suggest having too much machine vs. an all day pain in the *** day with a "just...
