Milwaukee M12 LED Stick Light - Reviews?

I needed a task light for a project so I bought the 35.00 Husky single LED light on the way home from work last night. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-5-ft-800-Lumen-Portable-LED-Work-Light-K40010/204330841 I have several of the Halogen lights but the fuggers never last. The price was...

First day with Milwaukee M12 Fuel Impact

OK, now I understand. The Jeep project is not on the road yet, the wheels are taken off and on as needed while I work on different parts and pieces. The old CP may tighten to 125 ft-lbs or 65 ft-lbs, I have no idea and it's old. All other vehicles lug nuts or bolts are tightened properly...

First day with Milwaukee M12 Fuel Impact

I am not sure what you mean by "scared". It did remove the lug nuts but I don't know how it would do with lug nuts installed without anti-sieze and tightened to a bung-hole-pucker-factor with a cheater pipe.

First day with Milwaukee M12 Fuel Impact

I stopped by Home Depot after reading the review threads here and asking what an impact driver is useful for around the house and shop. I was undecided on the M12 and M18 Fuel after testing them at the display and wanted to check the price with tax against the online price with shipping...

Harbor Freight 20 ton press is changing - Major Changes - Info inside

My little press is made in the USA, mostly from scrap steel I had on hand ;) It eventually received a black paint job and a 20T Torin jack, cost less than 75.00.

What do you use your cordless Impact for?

I am surprised they are good for rusted screws, I would have thought they would strip the heads easier than hand tools. I have a 6 year old DeWalt 18v XRP and a really old Craftsman 9.8 drill and I use those all the time. Since I don't have any other cordless tools my options are wide open...

What do you use your cordless Impact for?

I don't care if it's work, home or the shop but I am curious what ya'll use a cordless impact for; it's not a comparison question but 1/4" or 3/8". I am interested in a cordless impact but wonder if it will be a limited use tool.

    Mayhew Tools at TSC

I walked through TSC Sunday and noticed they had some Mayhew tools including scapers, punches and chisels. I have not seen the brand on the shelves before.

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

I have the older model with the the straight handles. The chuck would slip even when using a cheater pipe on the chuck key, I replaced it with a keyless chuck off Ebay for about 30.00 and it works great. The switch has burned the contacts twice, took it apart, sanded the contacts and it is...

Dry air from a compressor... is it a Myth?

I used this diagram from Sharpe as a guide. I used a 3/4" flexible hydraulic hose from my 60gl upright to the wall, ran up to the ceiling with 3/4" copper, 25' to the back of the garage and 25' back, dropped down to a HF dryer, down 2' with a dead leg and drain. Works great in hot-humid...

McMaster High Vis or Williams Hard Handles?

    That is a good point.

McMaster High Vis or Williams Hard Handles?

From previous screwdriver threads it appears that both of these sets are quality. I prefer the High Vis green for the visibility but I think the Williams style handles are more comfortable. I am on the edge, am I overlooking any attributes one way or the other?

    Mag-Lite LED conversion?

I bought the Terralux drop-in from Battery Junction along with some Tenergy 10,000 Mah NiMh batteries and my old school 2-D Maglite is more useful than every.

Looked at Knipex and Channel Locks Today

So the Diamond pliers just have "USA" engraved for identification? I stopped by ACE at lunch, a brand new store and all they had were Channel Lock and ACE brand tools. I will check Home Depot for pricing against Lowes and keep an eye out for BF deals.

Let's see you, your tools, toys and garages in action

This is my current project and will be my daily driver and toy pretty soon. I have always wanted a resto-mod project and settled on a CJ since I have never owned one. Here are some pictures of what I started with and the semi-complete chassis. I am working on the tub and hope to paint after...

Looked at Knipex and Channel Locks Today

I will check out ACE later this week and watch for the sale. Tonight I went out to sort through the two drawers full of pliers, adjustable wrenches and locking pliers. I pulled out a lot of no-name tools but was surprised of what I had since most all of these tools have a heavy patina. I have...
