Need some help with a Wilton 450S Vise.

No I haven't. It was shipped with the base detached. I brought up the look of the inner ring in another post...the inner ring on mine looks different than the ones Wilton are currently selling. My vise is from the 70s so maybe they just redesigned it? With that said, the correct Wilton...

    Epoxy floor scratched

I was thinking the same thing? If he made the scratch while installing your new garage door yeah he is going to fix it. If it was damaged by the Lexus owner why is your contractor having a garage door installer do flooring?

    Tool I.D.

Thanks for the help everyone. I've used it a lot, mainly on watch repairs but it came in handy more than once where a huge hammer isn't needed.

Wilton 450 swivel base centering pin?

It does, thanks. I'm having some other issues with the base so I think I'm going to order a new inner ring and see if that helps. I picked up a .5" zinc plated round bar but it was only .46" and left some slop.

Need some help with a Wilton 450S Vise.

UPDATED, 2nd page. I bought this a few weeks ago after selling my Chas. Parker 974. Before painting the base I wanted to do a test fit after receiving new lockdown handles from Wilton yesterday. For some reason I can't get the vise centered on the base and work properly. When I have it...

Wilton 450 swivel base centering pin?

Both holes (bottom of the vise and the base) are concaved. I was hoping someone that had a stationary and added a swivel had a solution. I would probably be ok with just using some round bar as a dowel but I'd like to find one that fits correctly if I can. I went through my grass with a strong...

Wilton 450 swivel base centering pin?

I'm in need of one. I did a search and didn't come up with anything. I found a new inner ring online. It's hard to tell in the picture but it looks like the new ones have it casted in the ring itself. Also the new ring is beefier in the middle too. I'd like to keep the original ring. Does...

    Tool I.D.

I'm not sure how old it is. It was my grandfathers and I got most of his tools when he passed away several years ago. He retired from the Navy and had a lot of goodies he bought throughout his travels so there's no telling where he got this from. Tool wise he had all older US made tools...

Need a 16oz. dead blow hammer....

They sell claw hammers so I wanted to be 100% sure. I assumed because it has a rubber tip too that it was for metal but I wanted to be sure. And I'm looking for a 16oz. SO doesn't have any metal flat / flat 16oz. dead blows, the only metal flat / flat I found was the 32oz. drilling hammer...

Need a 16oz. dead blow hammer....

I came across this on SO's site: https://store.snapon.com/Combination-Dead-Blow-Combination-16-Ounce-Hammer-P635004.aspx I only need to use the flat end for some light metal forming. Is the flat part safe to use on metal like the flat part on a ball peen? I'm assuming yes.

    Disapointed with Armstrong ratchets

The cheapest I found a new Armstrong (11-994) for is $70. I bought a new Snapon (FX80A) for $114 shipped off of eBay, most go for $130+. I picked up the new Armstrong ratchet today from Advance Auto. It came sealed in a Armstrong plastic bag. Returned it to Advance Friday, received the new...
