Little update...I filed the heck out of it some more and it never would slide out. I ended up having to use a large punch and beat it out. Finally got it out and cleaned up. Letting the enamel paint cure as we speak.

For larger stuff I have a Chas. Parker 974. It's handled everything I've thrown at it for over 10yrs now. And I know those things on the Wilton don't matter but I'm curious about the history.

I bought a 9300 fixed base yesterday on ebay. After looking at several 9300s I have a couple of questions. 1.) What does the letter N mean after 9300? Mine is not a N so curious about the difference between the two. 2.) On the one I bought there is no city *Chicago OR Schiller Park Ill.*...

Got it replaced through Advance auto. Am picking the new one up this Wednesday. Took me an hour to get it replaced after them trying to be sneaky and giving me a $40 refund instead of replacing it with the lifetime warranty??? That's another story for another day. Both Snapons are sooo much...

Don't know. I used a wire brush, filed it, sanded it smooth as butter but it's still getting caught on something and it's not crude or gunk it feels like a catch. Not sure. I got the swivel bottom off and cleaned up, got the jaws off and just said f it and pained the slide too. I wanted to tape...

Does anyone know how to remove the dynamic jaw from a 974? That's as far as it will slide out.

Found out what the problem was with the 1/4". I found a sliver of metal inside. The paw teeth look fine, so do the teeth on the gear tang. Not sure where it came from but after testing it out on a project this morning it worked perfectly fine. So now I'll return the 3/8" to Advance and have...

I agree, that's why I'm going w/ the F80. Does SO make a locking version FLF80A? I know, I'm heading to Sears this evening.

I purchased both ratchets from Advance a few years back; 1/4" (10-994) 3/8" (11-994). The 1/4" started locking up on me on more than one occasion. I can't turn the on / off lever and the tang is just locked in place. After several tries it will fix itself but will lock back up a few minutes...

Different how? The SAE link in the first post has the same part number at ones selling for $4.95: 393408 I picked up 2 SAEs and 2 metrics tonight, one for chrome one for impacts. I noticed a LOT of people reselling these on eBay doubling their money and then some. One guy sold a SAE & metric...
