Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

I always left mine in place, but I’m the kind of ****-retentive ******* that has a pocket screwdriver!🤣😎

    This tray for spark plugs?

This box is a mystery to me. In rough shape. The row of holes along the front are widely spaced and there’s eight. My guess was tune-up or spark plug service box, and Looked for awhile. Three more baby goats today, and associated problems…

Just getting within twenty feet of the shop things go from ankle-high to knee deep. I have trouble believing that man left the place that way. I think the looters did it, but hard to know for sure. I never knew him, I’ve only been around here a few years. I am taking down some sheds that...

Vintage Wright - Share it Here

“Rode Hard and Put Away Wet!” Almost fell over when I found it, but yeah, it’s rough…edit: couldn’t stand it like that so I took it apart and cleaned it. Both the cover screws were wrong and I couldn’t find any with the large heads, they are still wrong. It is much smoother now.😉. Amateur...

Thanks, was hoping you would answer. Since it had a regular ball for retention as well as what I assume was a pin lock, and it has been destroyed, this puts this tool in the “user “. category, and not something special, right?

thanks, I have to ‘pay’ for the stuff I haul out of there by cleaning out her late husband’s workshop. He passed suddenly about eight years ago, and since then some people (don’t know who), have been going in there and trashing the place looking for goodie’s…looks like a roving band of...

‘This Old Beast’. Probably is in too bad of shape to be worth fixing up. Lotsa rust, a repair you can see…but it does work, so I will probably clean it up during snow days or something and display it and use it if I need to. (God I hope I never have to work on anything that big ever again)

I have the longC: 1-1/8. 1-1/4. 1-3/8. 1-7/16. 1-1/2 1-5/8. and an old Plumb 1-1/8. and a lonely Sparta 1-1/16. The Snap-on 1/2-3/4 adapter was in there too. This is ‘as found’

Got this box the other day with some things in it, didn’t know if any of it belonged together. Very dirty. Started cleaning It and there’s still some color under there. Started reading this thread and saw that on post #111 UNAIU has this box (no wonder he commented about it). Also may have...

Early 1/2-to 3/4 adapter. I’m confused about the numbers and the lock pin seems to have been chiseled off.

    Early Williams 3/4” square socket

Did a lot of reading into the wee hours and never found a good answer as to how old it is.

That’s a beauty! The history of the Akron is interesting in a morbid way. There’s a good podcast about it in “Things you missed in History Class.”

    Gotta Get more Evaporust

The best (oldest anyways) stuff was in the ammo box and was relatively protected, I’m betting one of you can tell me how old it is…I love the box. the back panel had been painted over but it’s coming off. The stenciled stuff was under that.

    Gotta Get more Evaporust

Oddly, some of the really old tools have no markings at all. . The swivel drive tool in the center has nothing. Most of the big stamped ones don’t either. May be some Bethlehem in the mix. Will be doing a lot of reading..
