options for finishing inside of a pole building....

Here's a few more. Very similar other than the man door placement.

Some. Here's a pic of the rear center wall after I framed it.

options for finishing inside of a pole building....

Oh, I didn't answer your question about 2x6's on each side of every post. No, my posts were 6x6. Are yours 4x4? If so, then you'd probably have to nail a 6x6 to at least one side of each post. Or go with 2x4 studs.

options for finishing inside of a pole building....

Yes. I framed it up 1 stick at a time by myself. Start by screwing a pressure treated 2x6 to the concrete all the way around the shop with tap cons. Caulk those to the floor to prevent a draft. On the side walls with beam on top, you slide the 2x6 stud right up in between the beams and nail...

options for finishing inside of a pole building....

I have almost the same size/construction building. Mines 26x36. I framed in the walls with 2x6's on 2' centers. I used unfaced, 2' wide, R19 batts. All of the walls and ceiling were wrapped with vapor barrier, with all of the seams and edges taped. I had drywall installed for the walls, 5/8...

    Compressor mounts for free!

I countersunk my bolts the same way using a spade bit. The best part is the smell of burning rubber while drilling them.

What is your favorite corrision/rust protector

Anyone use Boeshield? http://www.boeshield.com/ I bought some to use on misc. plated fasteners on a car I'm restoring, but haven't used it yet, or finished the car.

    Legacy Hose Reel

I've got one. It's Craftsman branded, but exactly the same. It works well. Kind of cheaply made. It's almost entirely plastic. The main air inlet/swivel started leaking after a couple years of light use. I ordered a replacement swivel from Legacy and it's working fine again. I expect in a...

HF Air Compressor, Buy or Pass

r6100mph, I do not know what the duty cycle is, I don't remember seeing it in any specs I've seen. I would assume it is not 100% as that seems to be the realm of the high dollar compressors. I've had it since this thread started about a year ago. I probably use the bead blast cabinet every...

HF Air Compressor, Buy or Pass

I'm happy with my 5hp 60gal. It's a little noisier than I'd like, but not deafening. I was just using it today with my blast cabinet. I can blast all day if I'd like, but the compressor will never shut off. Blasting at 80 or 90 psi, the compressor never falls behind. I blasted for about...

How would you Insulate your new pole building

I framed in the walls with 2x6's on 24" centers with R19 unfaced fiberglass batts. The 2x6's are flush with the 6x6 posts, so drywalling was easy. Vapor barrier between the fiberglass and drywall, all seams taped. Menards had good pricing on the 24" R19 batts from Johns Manville. It really...

    Metal Ceilings: Do they sweat?

No sweating here. Mine's heated to 50F year round. The ceiling fans run on low 24/7 to keep the air moving. R38 blown in over the ceiling. Vapor barrier between the ceiling steel and insulation.

What do you think, 5 HP 2 stage HF air compressor for $160 plus shipping

The motor is rated at 22A @ 3450rpm. I rough measured the pulleys and it looks like 3:1. That spins the pump at 1150rpm. On the side of the tank is a sticker stating 1400rpm max.

What do you think, 5 HP 2 stage HF air compressor for $160 plus shipping

Yep, real 5HP, 22amps, A.O.Smith motor. I've had one for awhile now. Fine compressor. Not a Quincy or IR, but, alot of compressor for the money.

My local Sears Hardware is going out of business...

I was in there Sunday also. Nothing compelling at 10%. How many of us are in Delaware, Ohio? Sheesh.

    Compressor question...

I've got one, got it for around 600 also. I'm pretty happy with it. It keeps up with my blast cabinet, but doesn't stop running until I stop blasting. Not very quiet. I'd buy it again vs. the cost alternatives.

    Air Compressor died...

    The HF motor is 22amps running. I believe that's a true 5HP.

    Air Compressor died...

I've got the Harbor Freight unit you show. I would pick it. Two stage, higher pressure in the tank and lines, will make up for the smaller tank size. I bought mine for $600. It was on sale for $799, then I had a 25% off coupon. Look for a coupon, 20% off is pretty common.

    Dayton air compressor filter/regulators

I have a pair of Dayton 1/2" filter/regulators that I'm using. They're working fine. I run full compressor pressure to them, 165psi, and keep them set at 90psi out. I bought them through Grainger. Had to buy the pressure gauge separately, also from Grainger. Like most things, I think there...
