    Woot OPE, other stuff 06/15

A good deal for what it is, but depending on your application those units can really beat the **** out of you. I rented one larger than that for 24 hours to do around 20 stumps one year and vowed I would never use one again. The next time I paid the $50 premium on the rental to get the self...

    Vidmar Caster Mounting

All of mine that have casters have them mounted directly to the pallet base, as they would come from the factory. The base also provides some rigidity to the box.

    Water Broom

I have one for cleaning under the vehicles as well, does a nice job at getting the salt off without having to get down on your hands and knee's.

    Cordless rotary

A lot of times convenience trumps need, I have a dozen M12 tools/tons of batteries and grab the M12 rotary tool 100% of the time versus the corded dremel. If I do need it outside or in the garage - no need to drag an extension cord. A cord is never in the way. I took it to the next level last...

My wife is taking a break so I need a nut splitter.

I've never had luck with nut splitters, but if you are looking for justification to buy a new tool - I'd look at the hydraulic style ones. Project farm had a video on them but I can't seem to find it.

I have the S530T set and love it. One significant difference between bahco and HF is that the bahco sets are universal drive - so they work on torx and triple square as well. It important when you buy spline tools that you buy quality stuff so they don't booger up your fasteners and get stuck.

what abrasive would you use for cleaning rust & scale off large metal pipe posts?

I would just use a pressure washer to clean them up and then coat/seal.

    “Cheater Bars” Discussion

I use a laser wrench extender (6745). It predated the VIM wrench extender and does not have the soft grip - which allows a cheater pipe to slide over it. For a pipe I use a leftover piece of galvanized chain link fence rail - It's cheap, lightweight and strong enough.

Thanks, nice prices - I've been looking for a deal on another 0882 teapot shop vac but this deal requires $200 for free shipping :-(

Overkill electric pressure washer - school me

As mentioned above, you should check out the obsessed garage group and youtube channel. He does a lot of testing and product recommendations specifically for washing cars. You can piece together similar packages on your own a little cheaper. I understand the desire to DIY a unit, but it's hard...

Mowing your own yard and do you use gas or electric lawn equipment?

My father handed down a 22" Toro walk behind when I bought my first home. I have a half acre that is mow able. I used it for around eight years, replaced the 'transmission' once. I used to worry about getting the grass mowed if it gets too long because here in PA if you fertilize it grows fast...

You're going to find yourself buying the whole set of these once you realize how sweet it is to use.

What is your opinion on ABN tools?

I've bought more than a few tools from ABN and they are as good as most any generic tools on amazon.

    Microsoft Office Pro - $30

For these types of licenses you download the software from Microsoft or if you already have a version on your computer you just add a license. At least back in the day most often the keys were obtained through the hardware recycling process where they strip the licenses - the keys I bought were...

    Microsoft Office Pro - $30

If anyone wants 2019 Pro Plus, I have a lifetime code that I bought from keyincentiv last year for $9. I bought it and they took too long to send the code so I had ordered another one. Also of note, they have 2021 for $18.15 (just don't expect the key in 1-10 minutes)...

    Changing a Watch Battery

I just bought a cheap kit similar to this one on amazon. You could probably look up sizes by watch and order higher quality ones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZHOR79Q/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    Changing a Watch Battery

I do my own watch batteries, there are probably better tools but these ones from harbor freight are invaluable to me. If you have one that the cover 'pops' off - the press is extremely useful. Also, I'd see if your watch requires new O-rings when you take it apart...
