    Hazet or Stahlwille Wrenches?

I had some stahlwille 14's and they felt like soft metal, the open ends would sometimes slip on a fastener. I replaced them with wright wrenches and couldn't be happier. I do have the stahlwille deep offset double box wrenches and have no issue with them.

Who can give me a lesson on home-use smart battery chargers?

You probably won't find a one size fits all charger. CTEK is regarded as one of the better smart chargers and I have been using a 7002 model for almost 10 years with no issues. It won't jump start a vehicle or fast charge, but it's safe to connect to the jump terminals under the hood while...

Mac RBRT Torx set - $135.99

I saw this bumped and got all excited only to realize it was an old thread. :( I did recently purchase a metric 3/8 proto hex set from zoro and I am happy with the quality. Not 100% sure if I will buy the rest of the line-up yet, I'm just a weekend warrior anyway. Based on the number of torx...

    Bolt/nut thread SAE/metric iD Tool

I bought a lot of these, used military surplus, SAE and Metric to gift around. The best bolt/thread sizers I've found. I think I have about 5 more sets with markings left if anyone wants some for a reasonable offer...

    Pioneer 12k Mini Split - $699 @ Home Depot

You guys might want to check your electric company for rebates, I just ordered the 12k 21 seer pioneer unit for 1070 shipped from Amazon and expect to get around 650 back between the tax credit and a 400 rebate through my electricity provider. It might be worth ordering a slightly higher energy...

Is spline drive a gimmick or does it work?

I like flex wrenches in spline drive because they fit torx applications, it's hard to find a good selection for torx. Like others have mentioned - tolerances are important so don't cheap out. I have carlyle, SK, cornwell and bahco in spline and have no complaints. I'm not sure if I would spend...

Hanging a mini split on aluminum siding

Thanks for the information, I'm surprised that the Unistrut didn't kink the siding. I guess now I just need to decide on this or one of those 24" stands shared above. I think either could look pretty clean along my walkway.

Hanging a mini split on aluminum siding

Thanks for the input, the spacer/bushing idea sounds like something I can execute. When you all are talking about vibration, the garage is attached to the house but this would be down a story and 15 feet or so over from my office. Do you think the vibrations would be heard? My concern with pad...

Hanging a mini split on aluminum siding

As the title suggests, I'm considering installing a mini split in my garage. The condenser would need to be mounted on the wall and I have aluminum siding. I'm not too savvy with siding work, obviously it would need to be lagged to studs but I'm worried about crushing the siding. Does anyone...

Help with Morgan 45 Bench Vise

I wouldn't worry about it until it breaks off and becomes an issue. It's likely that it may not affect the operation of the vise. A sloppy option would be to fill around the part with metal filler but then you'll never be able to fully disassemble it again. Good luck, don't over think it - it's...

    Show your new tool arrivals

It seems pretty nice and has more features than the cheap ones on Amazon. I don't have a need for it soon but sure will make changing those cabin air filters easier later this year.

I bought some luxury items for myself from napa's monthly flyer, rationalized it since it is my birthday month... Can't beat these prices if you're interested in these items. The interior creeper is fully adjustable.

    Tiger Tool socket press tool

Resurrecting an old thread... Does anyone have experience with one of these? I had thought about buying one a while ago, I noticed the OEM tools one is cheapest at Autozone and with a 20% coupon is only around $150. Curious on people's experiences...

    Harbor freight swedish pipe wrench

I've had the knipex version in my shopping cart for a while but just haven't ordered, looks like I will wait and try this for 1/3rd the price! They weren't in my store the other day either. Hopefully they expand the line up with more sizes.

Great deal Vim 1/4" sockets and ratchet

I understand that there are other solutions, I'm really looking for something nice to use. I was looking for a smaller size/ more compact version of what came with the Bahco set that would also work for these. I did see an ezarc flex head that might work but it doesn't appear to be available...

Great deal Vim 1/4" sockets and ratchet

I bought metric/SAE sets a couple of weeks ago for the $49.99 price and they came in two days, In hindsight I am regretful that I did not post here and jealous that others figured out how to get them cheaper! I gifted the extra ratchet and flex sockets so it was an even better deal! Has anyone...

Purchased a set of Capri maxchrome mini wrenches with the latest email/flyer. They are described as super low profile. Nice packaging but slightly thicker than my facom mini wrenches, probably should've kept the 29.99 in my bank account... but ... Impulses...

Cornwell Tools - Locating a Dealer???

Maybe someone on here would be willing to act as an intermediary and ship it to you, if you want it bad enough. Like I said, I found a dealer on Facebook and used messenger. I offered to pay upfront to order the stuff and picked them up promptly when they came in. He was happy for the business...
