e-torx wobble or universal socket set?

Not an answer to your question, but my astro universals have screws that can be tightened up if you want to reduce the 'looseness' I would probably also consider wobble extensions as suggested above. Maybe in combination with low profile sockets. Here's a similar set if you can find them...

Torx bits to reach hard to get to places

I've done a similar job. Once. Preference #1 - wrench inserts; Preference #2 - VIM half cut bit; Preference #3 - cut a standard bit in half then use a ratcheting 1/4' wrench with a piece of masking tape to hold the bit in. Recommend replacing the bolts with a hex head to prevent the situation...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Thanks for the info all, I saw this listed in the local marketplace and it sparked some curiosity. If anyone is interested I might be able to find the ad again.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Can anyone identify this odd looking vise? Bad pictures are all I have but the body is quite interesting.

I love these Olsa Ratcheting wrenches

I wonder how good the warranty is on the ratcheting mechanism, you would generally assume that if the fastener is rounded that the bolt is stuck - I would usually use a non-ratcheting wrench in that instance. I did see on amazon that they have a hand full of different non-ratcheting...

I've bought from them multiple times with no issues, generally very fast shipping too.

    PC/Laptop-based OBD2 software recommendation?

Not an answer to your question, but you'll want ISTA+ for the mini. I'd recommend a bimmergeeks cable. If you interested in spending the money, the bimmergeeks app is awesome - but you'll want to verify the chassis is supported.

    I've HAD IT with Creepers!

I'm curious if anyone on here has experience with the viking creepers? JDTCO posted about them a couple of times and the fanboys went nuts. Priced reasonably on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B091G4WTQN/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Need help with 1-1/4 wrench please.....

I would tend to agree with the recommendations to attempt to pivot the piston down to replace the arm. That's going to be tricky to reinstall leak free.

    Used Vidmar cabinet fake?

I have one in that color. It's as real as real can be. Also, the newer style logo/badge means that it comes with the redesigned drawers that are easier to remove and rated for 440lbs. You can put casters on any vidmar, just make sure they are rated for what you put in it so you don't end up...

    Show your new tool arrivals

I have had this on my watch list for quite some time, and it showed up with an $87 price on Amazon so I figured I would add it to the collection. Now I just need to figure out how to store this monster.

School me on hex tools and torx tools. Help me wade through the options

I have a set in torx, haven't run into a need for them yet though - usually end up using a torx driver or 1/4 bit ratchet. In general, you're not going to find a master set that has the best of everything in torx or hex. I would think about what you anticipate using them on and look for...

    Spending Money with Cornwell

Cornwell has some exclusive tools such as spline wrenches. I would look at those first if I needed them to spend dedicated money.

    Windshield repair kit

If this is an over the road vehicle then your insurance is legally obligated to cover the chip repair, usually with no deductible. I tried one of these kits previously and applied slightly too much pressure to the windshield causing a crack, I wouldn't try it again unless it was an off road vehicle.

To splurge or not to splurge -- Snap-on Tool Box -- KRL1023

If you are buying it at a fair enough price that you can resell it then do it! It's clear that you want one, and sometimes personal satisfaction is the best investment you can make. I've only ever regretted buying cheap junk.
