    30x48 pole barn for workshop

Now that cold weather has arrived in Ohio, progress has all but stopped. I did get the doors installed earlier this week. Now it is secure and I can use it for storage. I will spend the next couple of months working on some projects in the kitchen (cabinets around the refrigerator, a pantry...

    workshop window options?

As far as wall space....I have 10' walls and installed my windows high enough that I have almost 4' under the large windows. I plan to put workbenches right under the windows so loss of space from the windows is minimal.

    workshop window options?

Window cost can be a major portion of the budget. Even though I live in Ohio, I wanted a lot of natural light. I am willing to accapt the heat loss in exchange for the light that big windows bring in. Also, I don't tend to work on big projects in the Winter months so I won't heat my shop that...

I don't mind sharing the costs. vntperformance asked earlier as well. Once I get it closer to completion I will post a breakdown of the costs and identify subcontracted labor costs. I can tell you that I am just under $20,000 right now. That does not include garage doors and most everything...

    30x48 pole barn for workshop

royalton10 - Yes and Yes. I am going to have a wall split off the end bay where you see the exhaust fan. That bay will be 14' wide and primarily for storage of stuff that rolls. That way when I need to paint something I can roll everything out of there and use it for a paint booth so the main...

Here are some pics I took when I got home from work today. The siding color is clay to match the house. After I took the pics, I did get the back finished all but the last strip that needs to be cut at 2 1/2" I will get back to that later. Tomorrow night I will get some more done on the end...
