    my long road

Anything you do with a jpeg is going to be not to scale. You say you have a pdf of site plan (assume from engineer). I do this all the time. I insert the pdf into a new, empty AutoCAD drawing as overlay, set it to the background, and draw what I need at the scale of the PDF. It is...

Lean-to carport next to steep hill

    Introducing Myself Epoxy River Table

If you do the epoxy pour, maybe you can bury some thin things like coins in the pour. It would be funny to see someone trying to snag a valuable silver dollar or $100 bill of the table only to find it can't be done.

The span of a 2"x8" joist at 16 feet okay?

Looking at another view of the inspiration build, we can see clearly 6 posts with bracing at all posts. This build was a modification of the original 14' x 14' design to a 10' x 10' plan with porch on the front.

How to stop squirrels from chewing through my outdoor wiring?

In my first office job, I had a drawing board set up in one of the halfways. I was told later that "There's nothing more permanent than a temporary situation".

The span of a 2"x8" joist at 16 feet okay?

✅️✅️✅️✅️ I think four posts are enough, but you need angled braces from the beams to the posts to help support the 10' span. Do this in both directions for lateral support. You can also use braces to support the cantilever. Edit: The photo you posted shows these braces. Also, if you want the...
