Do you have photos or a link to the brass duplicates? I'm very curious as to how those came out.

Does anyone know offhand roughly what diameter and thread pitch the lead screws are in these large, old vises, roughy 4-1/2" jaw size? (Speaking generally, I don't have a specific model in mind.) I'm curious how it compares to some modern vises that I've had to work on lately.

But a #12 screw will have a major diameter of about 0.216" while 5/32" is about 0.156". A screw with a 5/32" major diameter would be somewhere between a #6 and #8 thread.

I think that's the point. You can use the M12 powered drive to run the bolt in and then tighten to the desired torque by hand, all with the same tool.

What sizes are you tapping? I broke a 6-32 bottoming tap almost an inch into my work piece last week and it really screwed up my afternoon. I couldn't imagine power tapping small taps like that. They're just too delicate.

It's the arbor nut size on my table saw. (Well, it's actually 24 mm but 15/16" is close enough and my metric set only goes up to 22 mm.)
