I am looking for a good 12-volt air compressor, capable of doing 1-ton truck tires. I like to keep one in each vehicle "just in case". I am tired of these flimsy throw-away things that claim 100 PSI but take 30 minutes to air up a car tire to 35 psi.

Avoid anything that has a fuel/oil ratio of 40:1, the cheaper homeowner 2 strokes are all 40:1 to compensate for engines that are junk when new. You want 50:1, I.E. Stihl, Echo, Husqvarna.

Birchwood Casey cold blue in the gun section of Walmart would work well for re-blueing that blade after you get it cleaned up. Then some white Crayola crayon to fill in the numbers & scale, or whatever color your heart desires. Rub the crayon over the engravings to fill them in & polish away...

Like the Cobbler said, wet sand with 400 grit. I will add that for the wet I like to use whatever penetrant I have on hand instead of water.

I have used their end mills, carbide burrs, taps & 12" aircraft extension drill bits. Always ordered straight from their website & have been happy with them. I never ordered a set of anything from them, just singles as needed. I switched to drills and cutters dot com due to pricing.

I use windshield washer fluid in my mag drill with annular cutters. Makes clean up easy & I always have washer fluid around & most of the year the washer fluid is mixed 50/50 with water to cut costs.
