Sears screwed up, trying to screw me now

Sears makes good ratchets...it's usually not the ones they have in-store though. I had a fine-tooth set from a couple years ago that worked very well. Unfortunately $7000+ of my tools were stolen in September.

    Echo SRM-225SB vs the PAS?

I am comparing the Echo SRM-225SB to the PAS setup... Currently I am using a line trimmer to edge and trim wonderfully. I don't know if I really need to go to a metal edger. However I do want to upgrade my hedger and a power head combo seems the best bang for buck. Anyone have experience...

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

Looking more at Echo now...the SRM-225SB seems like a good deal...maybe the PAS models. I heard on another forum that the stihl's have a very expensive maintenance need. Something about a full teardown....

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

That maintenance on the Stihl's may be a deal breaker then...I may look into Echo then as they are common around here too. I think I used an Echo split boom in my first home back in 1995. It was loud and I smelled like gas after using it though on the 1/2 acre I had. One of the reasons I went...

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

8000 sq ft is pretty small. I'd only be blowing about 80' feet of sidewalk and 60' of driveway, then a patio.

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

I have 8000 sq ft of land...not a big lot. I am thinking that 56 RC-E or the 110 R (at only $30 more than the 90 R I may as well go up to the 110) more and more. The 130 R would be another $50.... The pricing I am getting, which they said they may be able to play with if I was buying...

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

debating the KM 56 RC-E, 90R, 110R or possibly going whole hog on a 130. People said the FS lineup is cheaper and you can use the gearbox attachments (I would have to buy a separate blower)...however; locally the FS 90R and KM 90R are the same price. Anyone know how loud the KM-BG blower is...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

Cool thanks...3 houses in a freaking row. The 2nd guy (between my neighbor and I) only lost about a $900 laptop due to having an alarm. They had just left the house for 30mins or so to walk their dog. My neighbor was cleaned out. Luckily his detached 2 car garage was secure enough for no...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

three houses in a row. All 8:30am to noon. They have just targeted our block. It's a purple truck seen in mine and my neighbor. 4 Hispanic males. Neither of us know them. Just looking for tool recommendations though. Thanks for the suggestions, but we have already been covering them...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

sorry about that...I saw 'neighbor saw it' then 'location' and thought that was combined. I am a bit on edge still especially all the idiots telling me since I don't live in a guarded community I sort of asked for this. :lol_hitti if I did live in a guarded community, chances are I couldn't...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

Palm Beach County, Florida. I am not looking for a SnapOn/find a truck brand. I am a home owner/side worker...no MAC/Snap-On truck is coming to me. I have a dozen Sears/K-Marts within a 20 min drive of me along with about the same Home Depots/Lowes and a Harbor Freight. If I had a broken...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

QFT... however they did also steal 5 frozen pizzas, a 1990ish calculator, all my light bulbs, all my batteries, a Costco pack of Bounty and Charmin and first aid supplies. Breaking into homes doesn't make sense...anything that follows I have learned doesn't either. The pizza thing really...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

my location has nothing to do with this...I hate that response really any time I mention this. Crime was pretty non existent here until the past year. I am happy he called finally. I don't know why he thought it was a coincidence.

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

Not an option for what I want to do. That works great for landscaping, but sidewalk and driveway not so good in my experience. It'd like a line trimmer option as the previous homeowner has 'conduit' ran along some of the edges of concrete for lighting. A metal edger would definitely destroy...

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

actually stihl is what i have been looking at. They seem well priced and have decent looking performance specs. I didn't know about them being a renter for the last ten years, but they seem popular. Do they have a line trimmer with a rotating head that can go to edging? I don't mind buying...

Best bang for buck for Craftsman if yourself having to replace all your tools?

I need to replace all my tools pretty much due to a robbery. It's a disaster as I constantly find myself halfway out to my workshop to do something around the house only to realize there is nothing left. :( I had a pretty good set of tools going...it's my passion really. I was brought up...

Looking to go cordless to gas again, whats a good line trimmer/edger, blower, hedger?

I have been happy with my Grass Hog 18V by B&D, but the batteries lose their life too fast. The blower is a PITA and I have to carry 4 batteries to do just my front yard and it's slow. The hedger runs forever, but only good to 1/4" branches. My hedges are coming out more 'freehand' looking...

not related to this forum as two houses right next door have also been hit (yes, three houses in a row with mine :() got cleaned out the day I ordered my alarm....tools are all gone except my new table saw which will not fit out the door (they tried)...air compressor and pressure washer gone...
