    Robbed :(

house...3 on the same block, all of us in a row. Between 8:30am and 12noon. My security company is out of state. It's a local opportunist knowing the routines of us and our police.

budget build: 13' wall to neighbor fence driveway gate.

I was robbed and they smashed my gate. It's 13' total and divided into a 3' 2" people gate and a 11' rolling section. I want to redo it for security with a lock (accessible from both sides if possible). It butts up to a concrete block house and a wooden fence on each end. The ground is...

Post your 1 car or narrow tandem garages!

I'd clean it up first and then see what you need to do. Hard to tell what you really have to work with until that is done.

    Another gun project, Glock 23

The SA TRP Operator has a feel I love: http://www.galleryofguns.com/ProdImageSm/PC9105LP.JPG but, $1500 for it is a bit out of my league. At on of the last gun shows I was at a special forces op was going on an on about it to someone not thinking it's price tag was justified. That glock came...

Need a stronger gate idea...mine keeps warping with rains

I have a driveway gate that spans 12.5' total. There is a 4' section for the 'people' and an 8' that I can swing open (pinned by a stake in the concrete and supported on two wheels). This is a picture of it (sortof...)..you can see the larger section and a bit of the smaller in the left side...

    Removing awning anchors from wall?

they are prying off. Technique is special though, don't hammer to the lesser part of the wall or ledge. They are like rivets and molys once I get them out.

    Cost of garage sink plumbing?

a builder should be a bit more lenient in today's market, but without seeing the plans $700 could be either a great deal or a terrible one (and of course in between as well). If you are using a custom home builder it's easier, planned builders don't hire a lot of real craftsmen. A plan change...

    Craftsman 19.2v drills on sale

*SHAKES FIST* DAMN YOU! *SHAKES FIST* I may have to bite the bullet on this. My current 1/2" craftsman 19.2 works like a champ when I can tighten the chuck enough. It's almost like getting the drill part free at this price.

Who has been denied a Craftsman tool warranty?

The only people (person) I have known to be denied was a guy that did the ebay/swap shop thing and brought in masses of broken tools. The manager finally flagged him. My understanding is the warranty if for homeowner/non-commercial use only. Not only is exchanging tools with intent to resell...

    Craftsman 19.2v drills on sale

Li-ion is the way to go, but it's alot more expensive. I picked up the 1/2" version of this drill along with a 3/8" right angle drill in a kit. I owned the 3/8" version a long time and it finally died (it was years I owned it and more than once was using it during downpours due to hurricanes)...

Sears screwed up, trying to screw me now

It's been proven online prices even if the CC has been billed aren't binding agreements. Without knowing more details of the OP's transaction everyone is just guessing. It does ****, but sometimes the online systems do not account for all possible combinations of deals that are out there and...

Attaching 3/8" leader hose to wall?

I was thinking just picking up some U brackets but the smallest they come is 1/2". What have you done to attach your leader hose to the wall? I only have a 8' run which about 1/2 of it would be reel to wall and then wall to compressor which doesn't need to be attached. The other 4' I want to...

    Greatneck Tools?

I have a couple odds and ends that I have picked up on sale when the tools seems decent. I don't use them for my major jobs, but I keep a few in my hall closet and one of there reversible screwdrivers in my console (with an allied tool set under my seat)... Eventually I want to get a top notch...
