jamOoO, I believe I have a 44. It has a 8.5'' ring gear and the axle u joints have the c clips inside the yokes. Someone told me a 50 has a 9'' ring gear and c clips outside on the yokes. A 50 has a 4500lb. rating and mine is rated at 3540 lb.

I did not know if I would have trouble with the hubs or u joints breaking. This truck has power steering. Would still be hard steering?

I agree with Joe69. The 1840 had lap bar connected cable controlled lock pins that went into each chain case compartment and locked in the sprocket hubs. I would think the 1845 would be the same design.

I had one of those machinist vices on the back of my sevice truck in the 80's. Wrong choice for a vice that sits outside. Had to constantly take it apart and lube the barrel.I would pass.

Got it for $700. A good cleaning and a $13.00 oil seal is all it needed. Good old American iron.

My 69 GTO Judge in HS. Sold it for 1500. to get a Z28 off the showroom floor in 73 for 4500. I miss them both.

I have the same metal ceiling in my 42x75 shop. It has the blown in insulation without a vapor barrier. Been up since 01 and I have no moisture issues. For me, a metal ceiling is the way to go. Even lined my 36x60 horse barn cathedral ceiling with it. Easy to clean and bright.

They are for securing a side box.

You show a picture of your roof trusses. It looks like the contractor hand built the two trusses for the lift area. So he built them with multiple 2x4s or 2x6s to carry the weight of the missing ones? I first thought all of the trusses were like them.

First time I seen trusses that had multiple 2x's. Thats heavy duty.

I just ran 230 ft. of 2 inch. Lowes was 4.20 a stick. The electric supply house was 5.88. Bought from them before and asked for their best price. After that I got everything from Lowes.

I made 2- 4x8 tables out 3/4 plate. Legs are out towards the corners with no support under the plate. No sag or vibration. For my new work bench top I am going to bolt 2 HF 13 drawer cabinets together, lay on a piece of plywood then top it off with 1/4 or 3/8 steel. I don't like wood tops.
