DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

Yes. It has a thrust bearing at the back of the blade - runs against the face, not the circumference. Bearings appear to be in good condition and spin freely and smoothly.

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

The guide inserts for the smaller blades are in perfect condition. The inserts for the 1/2" blade are scored but figured that I could touch them on a belt sander to clean them up. I'd like to run a 1" blade but don't have any guides for it. Was going to try and make some but didn't know...

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

So.... that collar and nut you see on the transmission selector has been made by a previous owner to pull the selector rod out and keep it in high gear. Both high and low gears appear to work ok - at least with no load on it. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to lock the transmission in one...

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

Thanks Kevin. This is the parts manual but doesn't show the detail I need. Here is the link to the user manual for anyone else following this thread. https://www.i3detroit.org/wiki/File:Maual_ML_V-16_V-26_V-36_V-60.pdf

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

Many thanks Doc. The picture of the strap is invaluable and the 'wiggle' might just be the trick I need. I'll report back.

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

So I ended up buying this saw. Here is what I know. - The Revees drive seems to work. I can vary the speed from approx 50 -175 fpm. - The air pump is disconnected, no belts and no hose. I assume it's toast. - The high-low speed range selector is not connected to anything. It moves but...

    Oil filter wrenches

I just put this together for a drawer in service cart. Got the whole set from eBay really cheap (AUD$42 or USD$28 delivered). I work on a few Subaru boxer engines and you need the socket type as there is zero room to get to it from the side. Will write on each one the filter model they...

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

Spoke to the seller today. He knows there are parts missing on the variable speed system, but doesn't know what. Runs at constant speed only. Here are some photos. Thoughts?

Does anyone use these metric wrench sizes?

I've used a 26mm on some aftermarket suspension components.

BuildPro Modular Welding Table Quality concerns? Please help

I bought the a Rhino Cart from Hare and Forbes with the nitrided top for the specific reason that I didn't want to oil a steel surface or live with surface rust. It was 100% perfect.

Lets make an all vintage Snap-on tool picture thread!

Sacrilege to some I know, but I wanted a manly, retro bottle opener. Bought off eBay cheap and now it gets used rather than sitting in a drawer.

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

I'll take some photos next week and post them up for comments. I need to open the side and see what's in there. There is a 36" DoAll with a cabinet full of blades and band files, but it's just too big for my needs and my shop.

I saw it the other day but didn't take in all the details - will have a closer look next week and see.

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

The stem comes with a few adaptors but not one for a DIN61 as used on european IBCs. The blue threaded section sits over a barb on the stem. I cut the blue adaptor off with sidecutters and drilled a 2" hole in the original cap from the oil container. Slid the cap over the barb and voila.

DoAll bandsaw - needs some work

Hi all I want a metal vertical bandsaw for hobby/light fabrication use. I have an option to buy a 14" DoAll ML bandsaw. The core of the machine is good condition except: - the high/low speed has been butchered and it runs only a single speed. I figured a VFD conversation can fix this. -...

I use it on 75w140 no problems. It's not particularly fast, but it works fine for 1-2 litres or so for a gearbox or a differential. It can take a few mins to pump 6L of 10w60 into a race engine though.

Does anyone make a tap and die organizer?

Toolbed.com . The foam drawers arrive laser cut to perfection.

Floor jacks for...you know..a taller vehicle?

AC Hydraulic. Awesome quality and it gets under my race car with 80mm of clearance and lifts to over 700mm (29"). They have other models that lifts 975mm (38"). Expensive though. http://www.ac-hydraulic.dk/en/products/hydraulic-jacks/

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Here's one I built to custom size (already posted in the "Show us your welding project" thread). I really wanted to buy something but couldn't find anything to suit so I built one. It's an oil service cart with battery operated pump.
