Looking for a small air compressor, limited use

1st rule of air compressors: always buy the biggest most powerful one you can afford or are able to run in your garage. The timeline is shockingly short to go from “I just want to fill sports balls and bike tires” to “hey I have a compressor, why shouldn’t I pick up an impact/grinder/paint...

    Help identify this tool

Dang I was sure it was a trim tool of some kind but you beat me to windshield.

Best tool to pull a rotor without damage

I’ve done almost all of the above and also a slide hammer; I eventually bought one of these because all our cars now have rotors too large for 2 or 3 arm pullers (Mac is rebranded OTC which can be had for less)...

Rust Inhibitor for Inside Toolbox? What Do You Use?

Probably got yelled at to “Search, for lovva Pete” in some forum sometime…

What tool would you use to cut a slit in fiber board?

And in this case the power tool option is probably going to have a worse result because it’s going to vibrate and chatter like an over caffeinated chihuahua

    Unknown Tool

Skate blades have two edges, used by skaters much, much better than I to pull off some amazing agility on ice. Look for a YouTube vid that’s something like “Sydney Crosby’s edges”… anyway here’s a fairly good explanation… it’s not necessarily HOW sharp (you want them sharp) but the size of the...

What are these really tall jack stands for?

5th wheel RV stabilizers… or I’ve seen similar used as such in campgrounds.

    3/4 Ratchet Set - Uses?

I got a pretty good deal on a Craftsman set (blow molded case and all that) so being a good GJ’r I rationalized that I might use them on our Ford-chassis motorhome. Still haven’t used them in 1.5 years or so, but I know in my heart the day will come… right? 😁

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Installed 1 of 4 FlexiMounts overhead storage racks… need to snap a pic or two as evidence but after much internal debate I went with the “store bought” overhead racks and I plan to build the lower/wall shelves workbench myself to get my own made-for-purpose kind of fit. Install was pretty...

Anyone use a impact wrench in place of a impact driver for home repair handyman work?

Not sure if I’d say “instead of”, but I’ve used it for driving lags into studs for TV mounts or similar things where I doubt the driver could produce sufficient ugga duggas.

Portable Combination Wrench Storage & Organization?

I like rolls in vehicle/portable scenarios for the anti-rattle as well as all the above reasons.

    Help me identify new-to-me tools

That flat zinc plated (apparently) tool in the bottom center looks a lot like some old door handle clip or similar trim removal tools from before everything on the interior car door was electric and/or molded into the panel.

    Treated or untreated bench legs?

Thanks to everyone who replied! I think I'll go with untreated and do the leveling feet - as someone said it does need to be level but it also needs to be sturdy since it's basically the base of a big lever on the press but I see some leveling feet that look plenty sturdy. I don't EXPECT any...
