Best method to test rechargeable AA batteries?

What type of batteries are they? NiCad, Nimh, or Lithium? I have several Nimh that sit for 6-8 months before they are rotated in. They don't self-discharge very much.

    Trans adapter for floor jack

I built one similar to this. The center hole is large enough for the original bolt to attach it to the jack. It has the same pitfalls mentioned earlier; it doesn't tilt. The movable arms are 3/8 flat stock with rebar welded in. The rebar sits on the edge of the transmission pan.

    Weird garage alarm goes off?!?

Maybe it doesn't switch off the power, but our alarm would trigger at 5pm everyday when the battery was faulty. It was giving an error code for the backup battery while doing this. After replacing the battery, it never happened again. Maybe it was a coincidence.

    Weird garage alarm goes off?!?

Does the alarm have a backup battery? Some alarms will switch off the external power supply at a certain time to check the battery. If the battery isn't good, it could cause the alarm to trip when it cycles back to external power.

Cricut - any good for cutting vinyl letters?

I bought my wife a Cricut Air last year and it was $240. It's been used several times and works great. She uses cheap shelf liner to cut stencils instead of the expensive Cricut brand vinyl.

Husqvarna 150BT leaf blower surges and stalls

Re: Husqvarna 150BT leaf blower stalls Since it runs good for a while, I would try adding a little Seafoam. It won't take much and as it runs, it'll help clean the carb. It may take a tank or two before you notice a difference. If I remember correctly, you add 1 ounce per gallon.

How do you guys store all your 'toothpaste' chemicals?

I believe the package says to smear a small amount of petroleum jelly around the threads before putting the cap back on. It's supposed to prevent the cap from sticking.

Wanting to rent a towable lift, any advice?

I rented a 50' lift on Monday, it was $189 including tax. It weighed close to 8,000 lbs and I was able to tow it with a Silverado 1500. I don't think you would be able to pull it with a V6.
