    Commercial girts sizing questions

    Man, just do the girts flush, no need to over complicate. Some 2x8's can range from 7-1/4, 7-3/8 or 7-1/2. If you are thinking of doing this due to lack of insulation, consider using foam board or spray foam for better values. Both are far superior to fiberglass and stone wool Imo.

    I am using gas powered compressors, only because I'm off grid and its not practical to use electric compressors for the volume needed. Main compressor is a HF 30 gallon unit. It's ok but terrible flywheel balance.

    Pricing is very region dependent. Here in Montana you get well used rough 20 footers for over 4k and 6k for a 40. They are dented, rusty and mushy flooring.

    Rug runners in high traffic areas. Bona products are good and are holding up to dogs and construction in my cabin so far.

    Some things to check. Spool tension as mentioned previously, damaged gun liner or associated components or rusty film on drive rollers or the wire.

    No issues with a gasser engine. I used to have a 2 post Rotary and it was a bit nerve-wracking with the diesel engine especially once you pulled weight off the rear end like tires or the rear axle.

    I buy their wire regularly and own some of the hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hydraulic cable crimper and hydraulic knock out punches. Never a problem. Their battery cable is excellent.

    Door size

    12x12 door would be sufficient for 90% of anybody. Will allow a 14' sidewall instead of 16' for a 14' tall door. Don't let us spend your money but do try to future proof within reason
