Is it possible to move the flashing smiley to the 'more' page?

I hate it too. It wouldn't surprise me if it hasn't caused a seizure or two.

    Craftsman bar stools on sale

I read some of the reviews on the sears site that said they have a tendency to fail/break after about 6 months. Most of the reviews are positive, but then they are usually posted within the first few weeks of ownership. Has anyone had them that long or had a failure with them?

    Anyone use a 1-15/16" wrench?

    Bench Top Sandblasters

I have the HF cabinet & it works fine. Just remember that you will need to add a light and hook up a shop vac to keep down the dust.

Pole Barn Kit or buy own materials?

Figure out what you need to build your own. Check with a local building supply for prices. Add another thousand or so for all of the stuff you forgot in your original estimate. :D Right now lumber is CHEAP!!! From what I hear, it's expected to stay that way for the next 6 months or so. I think...

    Paging billymade!

It's been about 2 or 3 years ago, but when I broke one of the taps from my 1990's Craftsman tap & die set, the salesman traded me for a new one without a word. Then again, I've almost always got good service from my local store.

Would you let Sears work on your car?

I think it was around '92 or '93 that Sears got national news coverage after they got busted for charging people for parts they never replaced or replacing parts the customer didn't need. Shortly thereafter, new laws were passed that allowed the customer to ask for their old parts back.

Would you let Sears work on your car?

I worked at Sears back in '92-'94. At the time, we did pretty much anything; electrical, starting, charging, suspension, brakes, tune ups, oil changes, tires, etc... We had some very good mechanics and the best equipment at the time. We also had the minimum wage tire & oil changers that didn't...

    Vapor Barrier Under Concrete?

Do you have to have it if you coat your floor? I was talking to a friend the other day about coating my floor & he said that if I didn't put down plastic under the slab before I poured it that anything I put on the concrete would eventually bubble, peel, or lift due to moisture from the fill...

building a small gantry crane or jib

WOW! $1100 ??? Home Depot 50 gallon water heater with 6 year warranty Two, maybe three, people should be able to easily lift an empty water heater. Hooking it up is simple. The hardest part may be if you have to sweat copper pipe and that's easy as well. If there is scale built up inside of...

    The car dolly thread

The HF dollies I have are solid enough, but I can barely move a 1968 Firebird, with no engine or transmission, across a smooth floor with the help of an 8 & 10 year old. Even then, it's everyone push until it gets too far out of line, then move to the side to push it back in the direction you...

    Battle of the Floor Coatings

Ok. Let me show a little of my ignorance. :D But first, a little about me & my garage. After working in the dirt or a "2" car garage, I guess they used old VW bugs to be able to call it 2 car , for the past 30 years, I finally saved enough to build a 30x50 metal building. I'm just...

    Battle of the Floor Coatings

I've been doing a lot of reading and have seen a lot of different preferences in floor coatings. It looks like Wolverine tops the list, but it's out of my price range right now. I'm looking at covering 1500 sq. ft. of fairly new & clean concrete that will see weekend / hobby use. With that in...

I shoulda taken a screen shot. Earlier today the box showed up on the left side under items related to your current search. Do You Wax Your Tool box?

I found one other thread with a lot of different responses so I thought a poll would help clear things up. I typically wax a new toolbox when I first get it and then once every year or so when I do a major tool clean up / inventory. Good ole Turtle wax paste does a great job protecting the paint.
