    Milwaukee 24” Breaker Bar

I do not own that specific breaker bar but like many others have stated, if it's in your price range, go for it. I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. Milwaukee seems to make quite robust hand tools, especially in the ratchet and wrench department, so I would think the breaker bars follow suit.

MAC tools - show us your MAC tools!

My one and only Mac tool… I’ve found myself with such a pieced together smorgasbord tool collection that I’m trying to have at least one of every major, and some minor, brands that have been sold in the last 100 years. So far I have a pretty well rounded collection and this wrench happens to be...

    Regular stubby wrenches vs. ratcheting

I too am a member of the hodge-podge tool box of clearance, pawn shops, and purchases of the like. I’m almost tempted to buy some 25 cent pawn shop bargain bin wrenches and cut them in half and call it good 😂

    Regular stubby wrenches vs. ratcheting

This is what I’d be most fearful of. Just how thick the box end is and not having the space to get the box end on the bolt head or nut. I appreciate the input

    Regular stubby wrenches vs. ratcheting

This is very helpful, thank you. Also, I should have realized that my question about what size range is typically most useful is VERY subjective based on what I’d be working on, in which I would say just general DIY automotive and maybe a little bit of “heavy” equipment. Which oddly enough I...

    Regular stubby wrenches vs. ratcheting

I’m going to revive this thread with my own follow up question. I too am looking to purchase some stubby metric wrenches, and then maybe SAE later down the road (I just use metric way more often on my vehicles). I’m still debating in my head ratcheting vs regular. However, my question is, how...

    The Harbor Freight PASS/FAIL Thread...

So far they seem to be aligned well. I haven't abused them like I have my other locking pliers yet, so over time we'll see how the alignment holds up. Personally, my preference for locking pliers is classic Irwin Vise Grips. $10 for a 10" pair and they take abuse like a champ. Teeth hold up...

Proto vs Williams vs other brands 3/4" drive ratchet-looking for insight

That's very helpful. I'm REALLY liking this option.. For $67 I can get the head w/ 18" bar and then down the road if I decide I want the 36" bar I can get that too. Until then I could rock a cheater pipe if I need the extra leverage.

Proto vs Williams vs other brands 3/4" drive ratchet-looking for insight

Thanks for the links. Seemingly excellent price point. What are the practical advantages of a two piece? Easier storage? Can you equip them with longer handles? I see an amazon review with a 10.5 foot cheater pipe on it.. WOW very impressive!

Proto vs Williams vs other brands 3/4" drive ratchet-looking for insight

Are you referring to shopping for a new one on Amazon or elsewhere? The Tekton SRH01322 is looking like a really good budget friendly option if I buy new. I'd really like to stay under $100 if possible which I realize slims down my options quite a bit. But the Tekton fits the bill

Proto vs Williams vs other brands 3/4" drive ratchet-looking for insight

For a couple of reasons. From what I have seen, 3/4" drive breaker bars and ratchets seem to be very close in cost. So despite breaker bars being a more simple tool (less moving parts), they are not necessarily a more affordable option. From what I have read and watched in stress test videos...

I concur with your hate for roundheads, ugly as sin in my opinion. Wright certainly seems to be a crowd favorite here. I'll take a look at the 2 piece Williams too.
